The Best Wet Tee Shirt Competition – May 2021

Now last month, we had three only – 3 entrants for The Best Wet Tee Shirt competition ……. 3??

You can’t include mine, but if you did, that makes 4 – so for the entire month of April 2021 there was a total of 4, really 3 wet tee shirts which are below …. which do you think is the best one?
From the left to the right our entrants are … Angie of King Ben’s Grandma , Suzanne of Ellie894 and Melanie of Sparks from a combustible mind
Can’t choose, don’t wanna choose, that’s fine. Too few to choose from maybe … well maybe that’s down to there being only 3 tees – you think? Maybe? Perhaps?

…. But worry not. April was our pilot month – this is to be a regular feature – so l’m hoping that May is going to be a better month – and l’ll make it easier on you all from the get go.
All you have to do to take part is email me 1 image of your Best Wet Tee Shirt and at the end of the month we will vote on the Best Wet Tee Shirt for May 2021!

Any images are acceptable as long as we see your Best Wet Tee Shirt in hung/hanging form …. please note – this is “YOUR” Best Wet Tee Shirt and not so much “You and Your Best Wet Tee Shirt together being worn …. although if you feel so inclined ….up to you, but not obligatory!!”

The Tee shirts don’t need to be fancy or patterned, they can be solid coloured, polos, piques whatever – they just have to be WET and Tee shirt styled. They don’t have to be brand new either – just a favourited tee shirt or a tee shirt you wear a lot, matters not.

The image needs to show the tee shirt hanging in the drying position …

To start the ball rolling, here’s my entry for May …
Pawtism is one of my own designs – a well worn tee, so much so that the writing on the bottom is fading.
You can email me your photos and they will appear in the morning Universal Greeting to …

Have a great day folks – see y’all tomorrow!

  1. I’m so far behind that I’m ahead. 🐰 Happy GLYSB MooooNDay🐄🌛🥳🎶💃🏼

I’m going to the Land of Nod now 💤😴 but those will be some great tunes to get me moving in 5-6 hours when I have to get up.

I’d vote for Suzanne’s shirt. I’m partial to Studio Ghibli

And Bill Nighy… love him! I’ve only seen him in a few things… Underworld movies, Love Actually, Shaun of the Dead. He’s great! Distinct voice.

  2. Thanks, Rory. There’s some good tunes.
When I bought my first ever smartphone I wanted the opening bars of “My Babe” as a ringtone. But when I recorded it to edit it down, it didn’t quite work. I then wished I could play a musical instrument so I could’ve recorded it how I wanted it.

    1. What’s your ringtone, Rory? I always like a personal choice rather than what it gives you in its default list. A guy I worked for had the opening to The Who’s “Baba O’Reilly” which works well. I copied the ringtone of the detective in the Swedish drama, Wallander. It’s subtle yet distinctive.

      1. I don’t know what my ringtone is, but l don’t have a smartphone, just an old Nokia model. No one uses my mobile phone, l don’t use it – it is simply a mobile phone that mostly lives in the house. I can’t even remember the last time it rang.

It is the communication device for inbound texts from delivery drivers.

        1. Ah. We’re the opposite now. We don’t have a landline – we had too many scam and nuisance calls in the past. Plus there’s no point in paying for two services which effectively do the same job. 🙂

        2. Yes very true. I pay £7 a month or something for the PAYG phone l have with Virgin. I have thought of simply getting rid of it – but apparently a mobile phone is for emergencies.

    2. Glad you enjoyed the lineup 🙂

Hope you have a great day 🙂

Ring tones sound so digital, and yet l have a doorbell with 45 tunes and of those, 37 sound great and the remaining 8 digital. Of the 37, 36 are tunes l would never have for a doorbell, so opted for one chime from the digital side hahaha!! 🙂

      1. Is there one which sounds like a knock on the door? I’d like that. And maybe if it said, “Police! Open up!”

        1. What l meant was if you would like to take part in the May wet Tee shirt competition, then just email me the image and it will appear in tomorrow’s Universal Greeting’s post as the first entry for May 2021 🙂

  3. If it weren’t so early in the morning I would be blasting those tunes (except for Connie Francis) – Have a great Monday…

  4. ❤️ thank you 😊… that’s awesome 👏 Happy Moanday 😘✌️

    …the wet t-shirts lol

I pick the Spirited Away one ❤️

      1. Hahaha yeah I can do that … not sure if I will wear or just show all wet – because when wet… my scars show – remember I am without normalness lol ✌️ it doesn’t bother me but I am private so they are personal – so we just see how I do? I don’t know which way I want it?

I will have to see which shirt I want lol 😘✌️

  5. Good Morning, Rory, and Happy Monday! I love fifties music! Definitely a Buddy Holly fan! Have a boogietastic day!

  6. Well Suzanne takes the prize because I liked her shirt best too. Three for three. 😉 Thanks Rory and I LOVED the Pawtism shirt design! Wonderful!

    1. Hey Suzanne, thank you – glad you like it – so what’s your next Wet one to be Madam Suzanne? So far you have 3 votes for your tee shirt 🙂

Now you have May … 🙂

      ………. waiting.

      1. Spirited Away is awfully nice, thank you 😊 Haha. I’ll be giving it some thought. May… hmmm 🧐 😊

  7. Hey Bruce, I love your ‘Pawtism’ t-shirt! I would like to join the competition, it will be spontaneous though as I can’t always get to my clothes 🙂

  8. Oh, Boy! What fun! Made me feel like a young teenager again. 😀 Thanks a lot, Rory! Just what I needed on a day like this.

I couldn’t distinguish which tune the Featherlies liked best today, because it’s raining and thundering so loud I couldn’t hear them. Bud and I both liked them all. (Rejuvenating stuff! 😊 ), but Bud’s favorite was Little Walter and mine was Buddy Holly.

Bud has a real soft spot for the old Blues music and I admit I do like it, too. When I think of that, it’s strange, because if you listen to the lyrics they are all about hard times, so sad. But, then again, it’s music I grew up with and family members played and sang. I never remember the words even registering in my young mind, just the rhythm and the tunes. Hearing it even today brings back that nostalgic feeling of sitting on the front porch in the evenings with my Grandparents, cousins, aunts and uncles, listening to my Uncle play guitar and sing the old songs. It was nice.

As for the Wet T-shirt competition, I like Melanie’s best. I don’t have any special T-Shirts, but Bud has. I’m encouraging him to contribute a picture of his favorite to share with you. I love your Pawtism shirt! Great job!

Wishing you a good night and sweet dreams.

    1. Hey Betty 🙂

Well l am glad to read that both you and Bud enjoyed the down memory lane feature revisiting the 50’s. They are back tomorrow also, with some more Buddy Holly too.

Also interesting to note that you like the ol’ Blues as well as Ian does.

Songs back a ways had l think more of a point to them than many of todays, they were going somewhere, they were about journeys.

Looking forwards to Bud’s wet one – hahaha 🙂 So, so, so wrong, but hey, life is too short to be serious all the time.

You are all very welcome, glad you enjoyed them 🙂

      1. Yay! Sounds great!

Oh yes, good point! They had “substance”, didn’t they. Songs from the past were certainly different than those of today. But, then, so were we. There truly is a generation gap. I could really philosophize over that one! 😀

Ha! Ha! You’re too much, Rory! You are right, it should all be fun! And it’s a good thing when we can share that outlook.

        1. Hey Betty, it is indeed a topic worthy of more depth and insightful though isn’t it? Something l shall look at in the new blog.
