Photographs from yesterday’s walk [Saturday 13th] We had a stunningly beautiful blue skied day, it was bitterly cold as well. Some parts of Sandwich town are still frozen solid and other parts are enjoying a healthy thaw out. St Clement’s Church looked really lovely in the broken snows though.
Strangely enough, seagulls are to be found on one side of the Delf stream Ramparts – The Ropewalk and the ducks are on the other side over on The Butts – but the gulls were enjoying themselves.
If you never received a Guest Star dedication but would like to please drop me a comment below with your Hello.
Thanks for joining me here and remember to have a thoroughly great day folks!!

  1. Happy V.D.! I hope the sunshine and thaw continue! I’d rather have cold and sunshine than overcast yuck!

Awesome photos. I like your B&W! And the gulls, of course😉

Excellent tunes! Which Blink 182 song did you choose? It didn’t make it 🤷🏼‍♀️ David Grey is new to me.🎶💃🏼

Catch ya on the flippy, hopefully later than sooner. Ben is still awake at nearly 11pm… I think he’s trying to do an all nighter🤪🤦🏼‍♀️

    1. Hey Grandma, bloody regionals do my nut in at times. I take longer picking songs so they’ll play and they still don’t, it’s enough to drive someone crazy .. it was Feeling This, but l’ll find a different version – glad you enjoyed the photos and yes, personally l prefer heat and sunshine, overcast is still preferable but cold, overcast and sunless with snow is no longer my cup of char 🙂

      Catch you later 🙂

    2. David Gray was once the best thing since sliced bread, in the 90s. Since then, he seems to be lying low. I have his magnum opus album, White Ladder somewhere; though I haven’t listened to it in years. Quite a mournful voice he has.

      1. I had to look up his Wiki. I see he did have some success here in the States, but I guess I missed it. The early 00’s were a rough time for me and I missed a LOT of music I’m finding out🙄

  2. Nice photos, but it looks cold. The B&W churchyard could be the opening scenes from David Lean’s Great Expectations. 🙂

  3. Beautiful day!! What lovely skies you had. I’m so happy for that. Some new songs here and some old great ones. Looking forward to listening. Have a super Sunday ☺️

  4. Good morning and happy Sunday, Rory! And happy Valentine’s Day if you believe in that sort of thing. Have a great remainder of the weekend. 🌞

    1. Hey Eugenia, l neither believe or disbelieve in VD – l don’t tend to celebrate it though, not any more. But l have many seasonal banners for specific days and when l remember to attach them to the Hello’s l do 🙂

      Here’s wishing you a lovely Sunday 🙂

  5. What is your temps?

We are rainy 🤨… and it has been cold but probably not like you… we maybe around 50’s/60’s but overnights were dropping into 20’s and 30’s!

    And 😘 loved

And btw … I can see you with the music you pick for your picks lol ❤️✌️ I like when you do that

    1. Similar temps and some way less. Like now it’s 48, but last night it was around 22, but then last week it was in the minus figures.

Years ago, when l lived in Lincolnshire and l lived in a caravan for my sins .. l was living the winters in minus 13’s and that was cold and more when snow blizzards hit!

      1. Ewww on the minus temps 😝 🥶

Yeah you seem same currently though

Yeah Maine can be just like that 😮 Massachusetts too but that sounds most like Maine – their temps go well below freezing 🥶 Maine can have some brutal winters!!
