  1. I’m very good at packing bags quickly! Toothbrush, toothpaste, shaving kit; shirts, undies and socks for three days; spare pair of jeans; spare pair of shoes. Done! Anything missing, I can borrow or buy wherever I’m going.

I don’t like sarcasm. If I am sarcastic, it’s something I’d like to change.

Youtube is the best thing on the web so far. I watch All4 a lot and I quite like browsing Pinterest.

There’s too much information without critical analysis and that leads to distortion and misinformation.

I’m very fortunate, I think, but I’ve never been too lucky. I never win anything! Luckily I’ve no interest in gambling.

I’m sure I’ve had good advice in the past but I can’t remember much off the too of me head. My first accountant was a friend of ours from school and he said, with regards to the taxman, don’t draw attention to yourself; always pay them something. 😁

    1. Good advice regards the taxmen 🙂

You are a good to go guy then and out the door on a moment’s notice 🙂

Do you find you can navigate Pinterest easily Ian. I always struggle with it, it is all so slapdash.

      1. Yes, I hate all the faffing about before going away somewhere.

I was put onto Pinterest by an online friend who shared an interest in art. Before lockdown, I’d always be doing art at evening class – in the daytime too now that I don’t work. So Pinterest is a good place to find and save inspirational images. I don’t use it so much right now but if I get an interesting email, I’ll head over there. The filters tend to steer me clear of the stuff I’m not bothered about – it’s just the art and photography I see mostly.

  2. 1. Sarcastic? Moi? Whatever do you mean?

    2. If you know where to look, then you do. Depends on whether you are looking for facts or just want to validate what you believe. Both options are available.

    3. Favorite websites? For news, the New York Times for starters. If I’m looking for specific information then I look for websites that are ‘official’ – vetted, academic websites. Relaxation? None Actually I don’t really know what that means – relaxation? Do you mean amusement? Or procrastination? In which case the answer is still none.

    4. There is no such thing as luck.

    5. I don’t ask for advice from friends. Advice from professionals in their subject matter, of course.

    6. I am a primo packer – when I traveled I had a supply of travel sized toiletries – so they are easily tossed into a cosmetics bag, underwear/socks – 2 sets since they are easily washed; actually 2 sets of everything in complementary neutral colors, wash and wear of course. Pack a hoodie, wear a leather jacket. Buy whatever else I need, if anything, when I get to where I’m going. Done and done.

    1. An interesting no shit take with regards Luck Grace.

Yes, l also like the NYT … back in the 80’s, l used to buy that as a newspaper and thoroughly enjoyed the read.

  3. Are you more of a sarcastic or pleasant personality or alternatively a mixture of the two pending your mood of the day?

    I’m perfectly angelic… I wouldn’t dream of being sarcastic.

We live in a world of data, knowledge and information – but do we always have the right sort available at the right time?

Gawd No! There’s so much crap available and the algorithms give us what they think we want. I purposely search for odd stuff just to keep my choices broad.

What are three of your favourite ‘go to’ websites [not blogs] for information or relaxation?

A site that shows the night sky with planets and stars, phases of the moon, etc

YouTube… wood turning videos are very relaxing, music… all kinds of stuff

    CNN for news

    How lucky are you?

    About 50%

What’s the best advice you have ever received from a friend?

I’m better at giving advice than taking it. I don’t know…

You have five minutes to pack a bag with the absolute essentials to be away for a long weekend in an unknown location … what do you pack and why?

Various clothes for all weather and terrain, tablet, charger, phone, portable charger, notebook, pens, a book or two, meds, toiletries. Should all fit in a large backpack or duffle bag.
I dont wear makeup or accessories. I dont need much.
