….. The Perfect Book??

You know, l am curious about lots and lots of things and l shall bring many of those topics up in season 2, as this is the very last episode of this season … l am curious about people, about cultures and lifestyles, about the ticking of not just clocks but people’s minds, about what not just make them tick, but think when they are ticking like a clock. I am curious about many things that maybe l shouldn’t be curious about, or maybe l should because if l am curious about things then l am creating those thoughts of what is in my mind and then trying to imagine them.
Writers do that all the time…….. don’t you, don’t we, don’t l and don’t they? All the time a writer sits down to pen something they cast their minds into their creative imagination and ask questions … what can l write about? Would this be a good topic, would that … would people read it? What do people want to read? What genre do people want to read these days? Which genres are more popular and do l have the skills to write in that topic in a way that readers will either bite into and chew or buy into?
What makes for a good book? We are all writers here, bloggers, published authors, wannabee published authors ……… we have writers here with many published works across many genres … what makes for a good book then?
I have written self-published books before, l am looking at that this year, l am also looking into ghost writers writing for me … l have a book here that l wrote 5 years ago that l will update and publish later this year. Someone said only last year to publish my poetry, l am not sure about that – who knows. Another book l wrote in my mid thirties l will look into publishing , but l have to transfer the typewritten pages into the desktop – which is a hardship …. but what are people buying these days? What are they looking for? What genre is more appealing to readers?
What makes a reader stop and look at a book – how important is a good cover? How important really is a review? How important is the content in relationship to the cover itself and genre itself?
Ultimately l ask as l am curious …. What makes for the perfect book then in your eyes?
