Musically Speaking Who Are Your Faves?

Musically Speaking Who Are Your Faves?

Musically Speaking is the October Feature in Support of The Hello Directory and Blast From The Past

Just in case you ever wondered why l want to know your favourites – well with The Hello, every morning l dedicate The Guest Star to four readers and what l try to do to help them celebrate the new day is gift them music they all enjoy – all four of the Guest Stars enjoy.

Over the last few weeks l have been reconstructing The Hello Directory where all the music is stored which you can see in the below link …

The Hello Directory

If you look at that link – beneath the Hello designs are many artists, groups and bands with readers below that. Ideally l pick a group/artist that has four readers+ below and then l refer to …

The Hello Features

… and l can see who has received a Guest Star recently – it looks more complicated than it is – but it’s quite easy ……… which is why with these posts l always want to know who you want to listen to and that in turn provides your day with some extra oompf and sparkle!

Looking at the list of Artists below, please let me know in the comments section who YOU love to listen to – you can pick as many as you want. You would be right if you think you have seen some of these artists before in this series – whilst l include the previous episodes above – many don’t visit old posts and so repeats will at times appear in the grids.

  1. Hello Rory – When you ask for a fave, do you mean a group or singer that we have vinyl or cds that we choose to spin or maybe have a play list of? Or is it more the groups we hear broadcast on radio? Or a yeah I don’t mind their stuff?

I’m not really a specific group follower, more of a individual track, that studio album, kind of listener. But from your list I’d say Eagles, Bee Gees, ELO are the ones I choose/hear the most frequently.

    1. Hey Anne Marie – really it’s just a questions about who you might listen to, and who you do listen – it’s pretty general as a question, but just to determine your musical tastes 🙂

  2. Eagles, Bee Gees, ELO.

Do you mean music you enjoy listening to, music you choose to listen to, music you’ll go and buy the vinyl/cd of? I’m not really a specific group follower, more of a I like that song, that album.

  3. I pick all of them😂😂😂 I’ve actually seen a few of these groups! I think one of my favorite shows was Yes because their opening act was a Bugs Bunny Cartoon. The one with the green hairy monster.

    🌊🦄💫🧸💌

  4. These are my picks and my ‘hates’:

Pink Floyd, Elton John, David Bowie, Chicago, CCR, Jim Croce, Gordon Lightfoot, Bob Seger, Cindy Lauper, Blondie, only SOME of Billy Joel, Neil Young, Crosby, Stills Nash and Young, Bread, Seals & Crofts, Simon and Garfunkle, The ‘Boss” (Bruce Springsteen), Rod Stewart, The Cars, R.E.M., Annie Lennox and the Pretenders, Melissa Ethridge, Rush, Three Dog Night, Santana, Styx, Boston, ZZ Top, Meatloaf, Jethro Tull, The Doors, ELO, Journey, Kansas…and so many more.

I don’t enjoy Lynard Skynard because they’ve been played to death over here, nor some of Billy Joel’s songs which have come to the same fate.

The rest of your list is a take it or leave it sort of thing.

  5. There are at least one song from the list of bands mentioned. I would add The Cure, Morrissey, Counting Crows, Smashing Pumpkins, Toad the Wet Sprocket, Big Head Todd, Axel Flóvent, and so many more… just love music!!!!! 🎶✌🏼
