The Resonation of Relatability?

How important to you is it for you to have a level of resonation or relatability to the blog and bloggers you read from weekly or does it not matter and you read purely for the escapism, learning or entertainment factor and so on?

Do you like to balance your reading or focus on specific genres only?

Finally do you need to ‘get your blogger to get your blogger?’ or do you get the blogger anyway whatever?

Yes .. it’s one of those types of questions … well three really, but who is counting?

Let me know below in the comment section. Thanks Rory

  1. For me? I like a little bit of everything… cause I learn stuff I don’t know, experience new things I am not familiar with and meet new people I normally wouldn’t … I am curious about things or how people live or how they are…

Originally I just wanted to write down stuff for my own self… I didn’t really expect anyone to find me. Which I didn’t mind either.

And I love making connections or relating to things so that has been exciting!!

And I love how this platform allows speech and expression in whatever way you want

I love that is all over the world cause I never would have met the world otherwise – that is pretty cool

So it went above my expectations of it – I love this

It also helps me not be so cut off. Make sure I don’t totally withdraw? So it also helps.

And lastly, I do whatever I want with my blog… if people can connect I like that… if not then ok… but I do my way – I don’t pay attention to how supposed to be. I am not a good listener in that area lol ✌️ – I will be who “I” want and do what “I” wanna do…

I don’t like following suit. 😄✌️ so I just don’t … I just find peace in my own ways

😊✌️ I think those are the questions you asked lol 😄

      1. Hahaha I am not anti- establishment lol… I am “American” lol 😘✌️😄

I have always been a free spirit and very strong… I have always protected anyone who needs my help

But as far as society goes, I have never given a crap of what is expected … I do me for me. I don’t pay attention to who’s hot or what’s the latest fad … I could careless about keeping up with someone else or even care what someone else thinks of me – everyone has their things and no one has walked my shoes.

If someone can’t handle me, that’s fine – then don’t be in my life cause I want to enjoy my life period. Either you with me or you not.

So yeah I’m just gonna go with “I’m American, not anti establishment” ✌️

        lol

        1. Hey Omatra, that’s an interesting thing to say – forgive me l will always play devil’s advocate at times it is my psychology training kicking in – why do you say ‘I’m American?’ What does that mean for you? It isn’t a bad thing to be anti-establishment and free spirited 🙂

I am anti-establishment but l am not an anarchist 🙂

          1. Well just that Americans kinda don’t listen very well, interpret how we want, do our own thing and have so much freedom and rights that I dunno – we just do our own thing. I don’t really have to be anti-establishment.

And as far as what anyone else thinks about me – I don’t really care … not in terms that I don’t care about anyone, cause I do very much…

But rather I do not care to be judged – but in that way I will stand out most of the time lol ✌️ not afraid

We are protected by our constitution so ya know – human rights 💪

I can say what I want, pretty much do whatever I want, live however I want … so yeah I take full advantage of that … I do not take that for granted

Anyway that’s what I meant ✌️ and by all means 😘 challenge me lol … I actually love devils advocate cause you learn that way so always question or clarify ✌️

              1. Lol… that’s quite alright, I do not mind… by all means please be free around me. Do not hold back…

When you challenge you learn something – either you do or I do… so I don’t mind that constructively lol

                And also… you don’t need to worry… I won’t attack lol… I know you are a good decent guy. 😄 you have a good vibe – I like you, I like your zest ✌️

I would rather you be free to be yourself around me. So you be you, I already enjoy that ✌️ do not mind challenges or questions – bring it lol ✌️

Enjoy the convos always! Totally love your questions lol ✌️

              2. Omatra l too love the vibe you award – it makes for absolutely fascinating and intriguing reading – but then you’ll know that l don’t like conventionality and live for quirky – so you answer in the ways l actually ask the question – you get me 🙂

                That’s great.

              3. Hahaha that must be it… I am also quirky lol ✌️

I have to get back to work… I am lucky I got to eat lunch lol ✌️

Have a good night? Or morning? Your time and temps are confusing lol ✌️

              4. Haha ahhh ok!! So you get ready for bed when it’s a little after lunchtime lol – like early to mid afternoon for me

So weird how the world turns like that when you think about it.

  2. The majority of reading is mental health blogs, in part because I’m interested in the content, and in part because it keeps my reading more focused. With the non-mental health blogs that I do follow, I tend to read as much, if not more, because of the person rather than the content per se.

  3. I started blogging on a whim. I searched for autistic adults and parents of autistic kids. I “met” some folks and interacted with their readers and branched out from there.

I like to make a connection but it isnt necessary. Some blogs I read and rarely comment (shocking, I know), I just like the content.

My core “group” is content and blogger. It’s the blogger I’ve gotten to “know” and I’m probably going to like anything they write.

    1. So in order for you to get the blogger it doesn’t have to be purely through connection although that can help, but it does help to be able to get the blogger as in see the part of their mind that isn’t on display and so then you are able to ‘get’ the blogger?

      1. With some bloggers, I dont really go beyond the content of the blog. I’m just enjoying the content. An astrology blog I follow comes to mind. I dont really know anything about the gal who writes it, I just like what she writes.

As to getting bloggers… I study people, I read the way they interact in comments, I read between the lines, and my Empath sense gives me a bit more insight than others who aren’t as sensitive.

I honestly “get” some people better than they get themselves. I dont tell people that anymore, they don’t like hearing my insights.

Am I answering your question? My brain is still a bit foggy… there has been unrest at the Casa🤪😯

  4. I suppose it boils down to why you are reading blogs at all – to while away some time, information gathering, sharing a specific interest…

  5. I’m a fairly balanced reader I think. I feel badly that I can’t read more as there are so many different and wonderful blogs and writers here. 😊

      1. That’s a good question. I’m not sure actually. I guess I meant balanced in that I read all different genres on wp. How much I read…I always feel woefully behind 🙃

        1. Well as a dear friend of mine recently said ‘You’ll get there when you get there and if you are not there yet …it’s not yet time to be there!’ I may have run a bit of creative license with that – but that’s basically what my friend meant 🙂

  6. How important to you is it for you to have a level of resonation or relatability to the blog and bloggers you read from weekly or does it not matter and you read purely for the escapism, learning or entertainment factor and so on?

    Yes

Do you like to balance your reading or focus on specific genres only?

    No

Finally do you need to ‘get your blogger to get your blogger?’ or do you get the blogger anyway whatever?

    Huh?

  7. How important to you is it for you to have a level of resonation or relatability to the blog and bloggers you read from weekly or does it not matter and you read purely for the escapism, learning or entertainment factor and so on?

I don’t need to know the person behind the words ~ at all ~ but I do need to connect with the words. This is why I don’t follow info blogs about travel and whatnot.

Do you like to balance your reading or focus on specific genres only?

I enjoy humorous little life glimpses, poetry, and flash fiction (any genre)

Finally do you need to ‘get your blogger to get your blogger?’ or do you get the blogger anyway whatever?

    No clue

  8. Do you like to balance your reading or focus on specific genres only? I’m eclectic, just like my blog reflects. I read ALL SORTS.

Finally do you need to ‘get your blogger to get your blogger?’ or do you get the blogger anyway whatever? I’m not sure I ‘get’ this question. So I’m going with “Do I have to be in a blog frame of mind to get a blogger? The answer? No. I have a ‘big brain’ (not my term and it’s not ego. My hat size is pretty large) I’m smart, although intelligent might be a stretch. I’m a bit wise (ass) too. I get most things I read or I stop reading them. If they’re boring (to me) and so forth. Why waste the time? So maybe I ‘get the blogger anyway, whatever.”

Some things that will make me stop reading (permanently)

I’m no prude and I cuss more than a sailor on leave, so it’s not shock nor dismay, but if someone uses smut or foul language as a matter of course in their blog, they won’t find me among their followers. To me? That shows a very narrow mind of a specific type and it annoys me too. Why say F*ck every other word? Grow a vocabulary. Geez.

Being entitled about *whatever*. This includes pretending to be in favor of ‘equality for everybody’, but in reality means your way/type is best and you deserve more than everybody else too, perhaps because you’ve had it tough or your people have had it tough. Oh grow up. I’m not following such individuals. I can match stories and all..

Blatant religious/political stances. Comes under “entitled thinking”. Yeah, I realize that the person doing that kind of thinking really truly believes their way is THE WAY. Only it isn’t. Grow a brain and call me after you do.

Long comment, but you probably realized it would be didn’t you?

"Hey, Thanks for reading - please feel free to leave a comment".
