Christopher Walken (born Ronald Walken, March 31, 1943) is an American actor, singer, comedian, director, producer, screenwriter, and dancer, who has appeared in more than 100 films and television programs including Annie Hall (1977), The Deer Hunter (1978), The Dogs of War (1980), The Dead Zone (1983), A View to a Kill (1985), King of New York (1990), Batman Returns (1992), True Romance (1993), Pulp Fiction (1994), Antz (1998), Vendetta (1999), Sleepy Hollow (1999), Joe Dirt (2001), Catch Me If You Can (2002), Click (2006), Hairspray (2007), Seven Psychopaths (2012), the first three Prophecy films, The Jungle Book (2016), and Irreplaceable You (2018).

He has received a number of awards and nominations, including the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for The Deer Hunter. He was nominated for the same award and won BAFTA and Screen Actors Guild Awards for Catch Me If You Can. His films have grossed more than $1 billion in the United States.

I have been a fan of Walkens for absolute years and the first film l caught him in was The Deer Hunter 1978 – which as a film had a profound effect on me – but l was hooked on Walken after that but equally both as well De Niro and Streep too. The Deer Hunter 1978

In the backdrop of the US-Vietnam war, three friends who join the army to fight in Vietnam are later captured by the enemy forces. They manage to escape but are soon separated and imprisoned again.

The Dogs of War 1980

On a reconnaissance to the African nation of Zangaro, James, a mercenary, is tormented and deported. When he returns to his city, he decides to lead a military coup.

The Dead Zone 1983

When Johnny Smith (Christopher Walken) awakens from a coma caused by a car accident, he finds that years have passed, and he now has psychic abilities. Heartbroken that his girlfriend (Brooke Adams) has moved on with her life, Johnny also must contend with his unsettling powers, which allow him to see a person’s future with a mere touch. After shaking the hand of aspiring politician Greg Stillson (Martin Sheen), Johnny sees the danger presented by the candidate’s rise and resolves to kill him.

  1. Love Chistopher Walken!! He’s such a great “bad guy” but the dancing and the comedy… it’s like he doesn’t take himself too seriously. And the way he speaks… definitely stands out!

  2. Meh… he’s ok I guess … some of his movies – the comedies only… that’s what I bend to anyway. Comedy

    I think of him pertaining to Natalie Wood… probably too many documentaries for me ✌️
