The Original Outstanding Blogger Award

Introduction

I respond to Awards very differently  to the ‘norm’  these days and no longer use the term ‘nomination’. This is not meant to be read as derrogative to the creator of the Award in question as l am always grateful to receive Awards as l am not an Award Free Blog but l am not comfortable with the typical presentation of WordPress Awards so use the term ‘Gifting’

My sincere thanks to Di of Pensitivity 101 for her gifting of this award to both myself and my blog. Thank you Di. If as of yet you are not familiar with Di’s blog, then l would urge you to pop along and visit – she is a lovely and charming lady who runs an intriguingly eclectic blog and who enjoys nothing more than making others smile.

I find her charming and love her dry wit and have a lot of time for her and her musings, wordery games and writings.

Di’s 7 Questions
If you were an animal, what would you be?

Good question – there is a big difference between what might be awarded to me or what l might like to choose. I will work on the latter – as in l had some say in the matter – therefore l would very much like to be a North American Porcupine.
Do you cry at sad, romantic or animal movies?

Yes l do, not human movies though – but animal ones – yes l have been known to sob. Gorilla’s in the Mist is one such film, l have seen it once and that was when it was on the big screen when it was showing in Leicester Square in London – although l watched the film from start to end – l vowed l would never watch it again and l never have – as a result of that film, l donate yearly to the WWF and to the Digit Fund. It was this film that got me actively involved in wildlife conservation. I struggle watching sad animal films.
What star sign are you?

I am Taurus the Bull
What do you prefer, eating in a restaurant, take out, or a quiet meal at home?

Personally l like all three styles and it is reflective upon the time of year, reflectively who l am with and or company and occasion.
If you have a partner, how did you meet?

Suze and l are now seperated but friends, but we met through a friend of a friend.
If you had £1000 ($1000) to spend on something trivial, what would you buy?

Who on earth drops a grand on something trivial? Personally l prefer practical or useful – and on that level – l would probably bank it a high investment account and let it sit for a year or so.
If you could change one thing about your life, what would that be?

I don’t think l would change anything – to do so means l alter my past, present and my future it’s not an easy decision to make because of the knock on factor and chain rections to the simplicity of change itself – life’s too short to do that … and yet! Having said that .. knowing what l know now about what l do know and what l have done and the life l have lived to date .. l would have partied much much harder in the years between my 25th and my 30th. I did a lot but l could have done more and done more of the doing more!
My Five questions
Did you live an adventurous young adult life as in between your later teens to you early thirties and if you did what was your life style like …
…… if you didn’t what was your lifestyle like?
What was the riskiest date you ever went on and why?
How big a child are you still?
What will you simply not do for money OR is that question easier to answer favourably reflective upon the sum of actual money offered?
I am Gifting This Award To …
You are of course under no pressure or immediate obligation to respond, however l have chosen you specifically because you are all gifted bloggers befitting this award and its criteria, love questions and will respond in the same spirit that this was awarded to you in the first place.

  1. Thank you JB! I’m not big on “standing”…Do you think it would be okay to change it to The Original OutLyingDown Blogger Award?? It would still be a TOOBA🤔😉😂

    1. Well you can change it to the green giraffe if you so wish, or you could look at the fact that 84 days ago you weren’t producing a series that is now 84 days long l guess that is pretty outstanding ….. ?? Up to you.

  2. Thanks so much for your lovely kind words Rory.
You and I share the same star sign.
I’m not adventurous in my younger days or otherwise, apart from leaving my home town after my divorce to live with a guy (silly me, I stayed 8 years!)
My life was quite quiet and uneventful.
Riskiest date was meeting Hubby and look where that took me (hurrah!!)
I’ll always have my moments as a big kid…… you can tell that by the animated films I have!
I don’t really know how to answer your last question: I’m loyal and would not betray a trust, but anything that involved harming another person or an animal, no, unless my life or someone’s I loved depended on it.
    Thanks again

  3. Congratulations Rory 😊! Animal movies always do me in too! Thank you for the kind gift, so very much appreciated 😊

    1. Oh yes very much so, and K9 with John Belushi and also Jurassic World – Fallen Kingdom – that brachiosaurus on the dock as the ship is leaving 🙁
