which is …

… So, how are you all doing this week then?

Let me know below or if you wish, please feel free to drop me an email here aguycalledbloke63@gmail.com if you just want to chat, vent or moan and need a listening ear. It’s perfectly fine.

Have you noticed how so many people say ‘Oh how are you doing?‘ But they really don’t want to know … mostly people ask generically – asking how one is doing is almost the same as asking about the weather or your toilet movements … well maybe not the latter so much … but in these crazy times of pandemics and global viruses and social distancing and lockdowns and aaarrgghh aye all of that too – sometimes it is but the simplest of questions asked in the most simplest of ways that means more to people  …. so l am just asking the following how they are all doing and how their last few days or their weeks are going? How’s lockdown going for you?

Rory

This week, l am asking the following:

Suzanne of Ellie894

Angie of King Ben’s Grandma

Ashley – Mental Health @ Home

Paula of Light Motifs II

drtanya@saltedcaramel

Carol Anne of Therapy Bits

How are you doing?

A Guy Called Bloke Feature Im ok thanks for asking JPEG

  1. How are you REALLY doing? Where do you live and how is this whole Covid-19 affecting you and your bride? I’m really enjoying your blog by the way 🙂

    1. Hey Lennon, good to read you, and l am pleased you are doing well … l am ok – my bride, mm, that’ll be sometime later this year and thanks glad you are enjoying the reading 🙂

        1. Well my partner proposed to me on the 29th February and low and behold what happened next? C19 ha ha – how much is that like life 🙂 Everything is now delayed.

  2. Rory, thanks for asking. I have found that a lot of people don’t even ask me anymore, which is sort of worse. I just read a blog from a mother who also lost her son. My heart bleeds for these people, and then it scares me to remember I am one of them. Last night my husband came to me in my dream. I am always happy when that happens. I miss him and my son so very much. Again, thanks for asking.

    1. Hey Christine – l think the biggest problem with people is they don’t want to hear potential woes … my philosophy is we are all here for each other even if not in close contact and talking, writing, voicing it is still way much better than bottling it.

I am glad though that your Husband visits you – this is a great comfort 🙂

  3. I am still doing surprisingly well. We’re in week 5 or 6 of no Little Yellow School Bus and excepts for a few not great days, it’s been mostly groovy. I’m exhausted but not sleeping well. I don’t see a solution to that until the world is doing better. Even when I do sleep, my dreams are wacky and I wake myself out of them. Not nightmares, not even “bad” dreams… just wacky. I’m too sensitive 🤷🏼‍♀️

I think writing my daily adventures on my blog is helping me keep a positive attitude. Plus the random kindnesses of my “WP Angels” help too.

I also want to help in any way I can. If any of your followers who don’t follow me need anything I can offer, I’d ask them to contact me.

That goes for you too JB! 💌

    1. Your daily series is helping your zen stay afloat Grandma – it is an excellent source of renewable energy for you – l mean check you out last time l looked 33 episodes!!

    1. Excellent news – just because l ask specifically, doesn’t mean l don’t ask universally – really pleased you are doing well Sadje – but your Grandson l bet is keeping you on your toes 🙂

      1. Thanks Rory. Yes the homeschooling has been taken up a few notches and with the walk thrown in, I have not a moment to myself till the “school “ is off around 2:00pm. But busy is good for no time to get bored or overthink

  4. You didn’t ask me either but in all honesty, this Lockdown thing is getting me down, I’m also fed up because I had an interview for promotion yesterday and I didn’t get the job, I’m also trying to date online and finding people seem to be very keen at first and want to chat and then you don’t hear from them….All very demoralising. But apart from that, I’m fine, how are you?

    1. I am sorry to read this Gary – sleep is evading a lot of folks these days sadly and their anxieties rise. A constate state of not knowing what to expect.

  5. Hey Rory !
Like I said before, this is such a great idea !
I am super busy these days as I have all my close family in the same city. Also, all my children and my husband are at home during the lockdown. I am trying to spend as much time as I can with all of them.
Otherwise, I am trying to spend this time as productively as I can.

  6. Thank you for asking 😊. I nearly told you yesterday that I was double sheltered in place because we were under tornado watch. 😅. Of course that has passed now and today is quite beautiful, as lovely as a spring day can be. Some things are the same as always. Others are oddly different. Thank you very much for asking. 😊. How are You today? At least a bit better I do hope.

      1. An absolutely gorgeous day today, as perfect as they come. 😊There was some severe damage in the next county over but no tornadoes formed here, just heavy rains and wind. A long day for Ellie as she’s afraid of bad weather.
