Q.1

Have you ever thought of starting a journal – as in NOT by computer – but by hand – like an old fashioned written one?

Cage published a post a few days ago [25th March] concerning Journaling and l wanted to include it for this Trinity Post.

I have many journals here, but my handwriting is appalling , hence why l only ever use them for note taking and all writing is submitted to my desktop. I would love to journal my thoughts, but l struggle to read what l have handwritten in noteform …. exactly! [See the problem?]

When l write notes in my desktop from my journals l then have to make them into poems. I sense a new collection of thoughts coming along funnily enough!

Suze keeps a journal and writes into it nightly – l think she has two – one from mantras and her grateful notes and a diary/journal.

After reading KK’s post l had to look up TikTok as l was clueless as to what it even was – but that isn’t me per se. As to interesting things … mm, sadly a bit boring – gardening mostly and trying to not let my autistic brain run hellfire mode inside my head. But the flipside is it is good for creativity and crafting new series for the blog.

As to ideas, well there are always online courses one can take, they are being offered at silly prices right now, there are also podcasts which l have been giving some thought to, always reading, l have already sorted out the office space here  but next week l am going to sort through my books.

Also Suze and l have been working on a new business concept.

Q.3

What is your personal wellbeing or mindful therapy for keeping boredom at bay during this time of  … ‘reflection?’

Two things spring to mind … one for many is the obvious – already mentioned – Gardening – it is seriously therapeutic and the other is actually l was working on 3 posts daily with the occasional 4th, however l have been working on publishing a 4th most days now – that 4th post offers me a sense of balance to my day. It has become a real therapy and l think it’s because it helps me with my socialness to my community.

Have you ever thought of creating a Vision Board?

Suze suggested this some time ago, she has a Vision Board that she created a few years back and asked me last year if l might consider making one and l agreed but offered up an Entrepreneurial Future Board instead which we will be creating next week sometime. I was going to create a post about this in the new Studio Workshop series.

What have you discovered about yourself during this time ?

That my Asperger’s is running wild with certain instructions – the government tell us to stay at home and yet in the same breath we have to go out and stand in queues to get food for hours on end therefore exposing ourselves to the virus?? My logical and Aspergian brain is in constant conflict with the literalness of this.

I have found that my stress levels are okay but my limitations are breached daily with the surrealness of this whole thing  – that l am simply unable to process this whole shebang without almost burning out due to overthinking it all. It is very stressful and frustrating and fascinating at the same time.

I am holding my mental health together and find l can cope with the isolation, the distancing the complete and utter lack of people contact – but l go into panic mode when Suze is out and about because this country doesn’t have a sound infrastructure to support their own big brother controls on the society.

I have discovered a form of hidden OCD is re-emerging in so far as numerological sequencing and patterning as an absolute requirement to keep me on an even keel – my anxiety levels are creeping into overwhelm!

… but apart from that .. not a great deal!

MUCH!!

Anyway, that’s me – now how about you? What would you answer to today’s Topical Tropical Trinity questions if asked? Oh hang on … l am asking. Let me know below in the comments section or should you wish to – by all means create your own post – drop me a link in the comments section so l can read it and not ‘not’ see it.

Thanks Rory

  1. I used to journal with my assortment of pens and a cool bound book. I stopped when things spiraled out of control with the ex. Plus, he had read journals of mine before, and I didnt trust him. I might go back to it once Ben is back in school and the Adventures series ends.

Tik Tok?? WTF is that?? Nevermind…dont care.😂 Lockdown has honestly been pretty much like every weekend and school break. We had some worries when school first closed about having enough Ben Stuff, but through the kindness of wonderful people, we’re set.

I haven’t had any major problems with my mental health. Having Ben home all day is a stressors, but not an unusual one. The whole C-Word thing… I’m not uninformed or unaware, but I’m not going to stress over it either. I worked hard to get my Zen… I deal with what is within my power and is happening now. I do think about the future, but in a vague sort of way. I am intelligent, resourceful and damned resilient… I’ll deal with whatever happens, as it happens.

    Have you seen this?

    1. That’s an excellent song and l totally agree – EXCEPT – we don’t have that choice – the government has so fucked this whole thing up – and then contradict themselves – l am NOT alone in this confusion … how can we stay at home when we need to get food? Now they are saying by June, there may not be any food? WTF???

Three weeks lockdown is probably now going to be until October??? WTF???

Good grief … the elderly and the vulnerable will have food orders delivered to their doors – because they are on 3 month lockdown.

I am not stressed not as in typically, but autistically this is an overwhelming nightmare for logical literal brains and worse by sadly people like me who cannot stop forward thinking by 1000 in any direction.

So l try to keep even now, using numbers – but then Britain is in seriously bad shape – however l think potentially the USA is in the same place except times ten, and l worry about that as well.

It’s good that your zen is secure Angie – l hope it stays that way 🙂

When the shit hits the fan, l am calm, l am at my worst when the shit is creeping towards the fan.

      Did you see this one?

    1. I know, it’s an absolute nightmare at present. Suze and l have to go to town today to pick up the last of click and collect – am annoyed about it slightly – Suze opted to help neighbours – who took the piss a bit – they are elderly and now our last ever guaranteed shop is filled with alcohol and not what l class as essential.

Suze is sometimes way too helpful. But my Asperger’s is now ramping up the stress levels … it doesn’t get easier on the spectrum whatever your age sadly.

Wouldn’t want to be your Son’s age at this time Gary, so good luck to you both 🙂
