The Really You!
Season 1 – Game 17
What is or who is The Really You? No, really, as in really you? Who are you really? That’s basically what this game is about – who are you – who is – the really you!
Every week – just three questions – about you to tell us!
If you had more time per day how would you best use it? Currently a day is 24 hours long, but if the day was 36 hours long so 12 hours longer – how would you occupy yourself?
There are days when l feel like a headless chicken or a cat constantly chasing my own tail – l never seem to have enough time to do everything l want to do … but would an extra twelve hours help me achieve everything? Well it certainly would make some things easier – l wouldn’t perhaps rush around like there was no tomorrow – but then once l acquired the knowledge l had more time, l would fill it and then still be looking for more …. not the answere but!
Everyone says they don’t have enough time every day, each day everyway – so what is enough time per day – how much time would you need in your day to get everything done?
This varies according to each day – but l could do with an additional 3 – 5 hours per day … or maybe l just need to wiggle it some more … a 29 hour day was my requirement for last year, now my requirement is a 27 hour day.
Arguments for and against the theory of time are never ending … Does time exist? Does time really move fast or slow? It doesn’t matter whether it exists or what speed it travels at – l think what matters is how we best use it in the first place … how we prioritise our use of time itself – so after all that – to the question …
Do you think that you prioritise your daily active time well and if not could you squeeze any further time out to your advantage? If you do – since you started prioritising your use of time – do you find your day easier?
Each day is 24 hours long and of those 24 hours l seek to try and balance my use of it to be more effective and efficient. I identified last year that l was missing 5 hours from each and every day and as l knew l couldn’t add a further 5 hours onto/into the 24 hour making it into a new 29 hour day – l realised l had to try and work my day times better or change my styles.
I opted for both options – working time better and timing my work better – last year l needed a 29 hour day, this year l need a 27 hour day. I prioritised my day differently and realised that some things didn’t need to be 1] done that day, 2] that week and 3] ever at all! Now l am working to achieve a 24 hour day and this year working to offload the requirement for a 27 hour day.
Because l am still yet to achieve a 24 hour my day is not 100% more efficient, but as l no longer require a 29 hour day, it has become marginally better. Whilst l am working to achieve back a 24 hour day – l actually really want an effective 18 hour day. This is proving very hard to plan. But l will get there probably next year.
So there we go folks!
Three basic The Really You questions for you …
… now it’s your turn!
