To the questions posed by Riya
If you could celebrate the New Year anywhere. where would it be?
Mm, well l celebrated the New Year here in Kent/England – did nothing special, in fact before l retired for the night which was about 1.45am this morning, Suze and Scrappy had both retired for the night at around 11pm – so long before the arrival of 2020 itself. Not being overly huge on the whole celebration thing – in many ways, l suppose Kent was as good a place as any – so the answer is here.
What is your favorite snack food for New Years?
I don’t actually have a favourite food or snack for the New Year arrival in truth. Many years ago, when younger and by this l am going back thirty years, l suppose l would have been partying and notably raving – so seeing a new year in was more or less the same ‘a hot spicy donna kebab, chill peppers and chips!’ If l was to do that today with my stomach l would probably keel over on the spot.
Have you ever kept a New Year’s resolution? If so, what was it?
No. Purely for the fact that l don’t actually make any on or around the New Year itself – l tend to make plans about three weeks prior and about two weeks after. That way l have roughly five weeks worth of ideas and concepts for the approaching year and usually, the two weeks after the new day of the new year, those plans are for the following year. That way l don’t set myself up for any failed expectations. I think we can place too much pressure on ourselves for setting them down on a specific night – it’s a bit like the tattoo one might get when horribly drunk one night and waking up the next day and thinking ‘Oh shit, who the hell is Bertha??’
What do you want to do with your blog this year?
Well l have lots of plans and ideas in the pipeline – some are already presenting themselves and others will materialise over time – however if anyone wants to keep up with these ideas, watch the mini series this week in ‘the Happening today’.
Do you prefer a big party or a small gathering to celebrate?
These days, as my first answer displayed, actually ‘nothing’ is much more easier, it’s way more convenient. Last night Suze, Scrappy and l watched a Netflix movie – Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw which was highly entertaining even if predictable. In days past, l celebrated in a number of different ways from clubbing, raving, dancing, drinking and getting laid. Back then, it was a relatively large crowd or gathering. I couldn’t handle those events these days and they are just too tiring for this bloke’s tired and wracked body.
Who is next to answer the ‘same’ questions?
I am not changing the questions.
Mm, well it’s New Year’s Day so let’s be a little wild …
