I use the term gifting, and no longer use the word’ Nomination’. This is not meant to be read or interpreted as derogatory to those who created these awards originally.
If l gift this award to you, you do not have to answer any of the questions unless you so choose to do so, you do not have to further gift out if you do not choose to do so either. Please – there is NO need to feel awkward if you decline the gifted compliment, l’ll not be offended.
Whilst there are many variations of TSBA doing the rounds – there is always a mixture of the original rules. Whilst l will always answer the questions asked of me whatever the number, l will ONLY ever ask 5 questions maximum of those that l gift to, as l think that is not too excessive. In addition to this, l will only gift the award to three/four blogs reflective my questions.
My thanks to Kritika of Undressed Thoughts for gifting me The Sunshine Blogger Award which l receive with thanks always. If you are unfamiliar with her blog, then y’all know what to do .. that’s right have yourself a hop, skip and jump on the ol’ keyboard and check her out! Kritika is a huge fan of self motivation and has a willingness to explore the world around her – so please do take some time out to discover her blog, her writings and of course Kritika, herself.

Do you search for difficult words in your writing? Like I do. I have to search for meaning.
Sometimes, l have a pretty broad understanding of words and their meaning as it is. This is down to a love of writing, using words and loving words in general – but on occasion l have stumbled across a word l wasn’t acquainted with – so l will take the time to understand it and add it to my dictionary.
What do you prefer tea or coffee? Any specific flavour, please mention the same.
I am pretty basic when it comes to my coffee, l have been decscribed as predominately uncouth and almost Neanderthal as l just like instant and have practically no tolerance for bean’d brands. I prefer coffee to smell and taste like spitfire fuel, although l am rather partial to Turkish coffee.
Most of the time, I am found writing while walking to and from in my room, on my phone’s notepad. Do you like writing on phones or tablets or laptops?
No, l am a desktop pc guy, phones are way too small, tablets are not much bigger and l have a problem with laptops as l find for some reason the screen appears to be awkwardly curved even if it is not.
Where would you like to live, if not the current country?
Seems to be a popular question, l have answered this question once already today – however on a second asking – somewhere quiet, with an excellent Internet connection and l could live in a mushroom matchbox.
How many books do you have in your own library?
Well l am constantly reducing my library and just when l have it to a reasonable level, l start buying books again … at this present time it has a total of around 200 mostly occupied by factual and documentary types.
Have you participated in any protests for any social cause? Which one and why?
Very few recently, although when younger [15 years ago] l took part in an anti fox hunting protest. Back in the 90’s l accidentally took part in a parade concerning sexuality – it just looked like fun and l had a great laugh – lovely people.
A motivating line of your own, if this was an award given to you on stage.
None of us are ever too small to make a difference.
What genre do you prefer in movies?
I don’t have a particular genre, l tend to like a lot of different ones and l usually find they are reflective upon my mood for the time. So, humour, drama, action, science fiction, a lot of comedy, Noir, crime, war, western, adventure, disaster, thriller – l used to love horror, but for some reason it turns my stomach and brain into a gooey mess these days, so l tend to steer clear of those – there are just so many genres to pick from.
Are you a bathroom singer?
No, l am more of a whistler.
How do you spend your Sunday?
Currently mostly gardening or composting, writing, mostly chillaxing.
Do you like watching TV? What do you prefer watching?
Again like the movie genre question, it is reflective upon mood and predominately time. My partner and l watch roughly 45 – 75 minutes of television a day, usually the former duration. As to what l watch, again as said very reflective upon mood.
My 5 Questions
When looking to create a question and you are faced with a blank canvas – where is your go to for inspiration?
Why do you think politicians feel compelled to lie as blatantly as they do?
What is Time?
Do you dream? If so, are they in colour, black and white or sepia or indeed a mixture, and what do you think determines the dreams a person experiences if anything?
Is success, as Thomas Edison claimed, 10% inspiration and 90% perspiration, or the other way around?
Once again, my thanks to Kritika for her gifting of this lovely award to A Guy Called Bloke
