The Really You!
Season 1 – Game 06
What is or who is The Really You? No, really, as in really you? Who are you really? That’s basically what this game is about – who are you – who is – the really you!
Every week – just three questions – about you to tell us!
What relaxes you more – a hot shower or a hot bath?
I have never really been in to baths for bathing, l have used baths for all sorts of things from the naughty to allowing some ducks for rehoming to swim in – BUT, baths are just way too watery! As in, you are sitting in your own water and that just irks me. I am a shower guy all the way – although Suze tells me l have the water way too hot??
I don’t know what she means though ….
If you are looking for immediate satisfaction in the stimulation department, what is your go to? [Answer how you see fit]
Well, when younger the obvious was always the first go to, and whilst that would be great now, as you get older that doesn’t ever seem to ‘just happen’ anymore l think it might be easier to plan a 21 day hike up the world’s tallest mountain! So these days a quick stim fix is usually relaxing with a spot of Anno 1800 for half an hour or more – micromanaging islands and economy is superb for calming the brain down …. however if any other stimquickie comes along … l am there like a cannonball shot from the cannon!
What exercise do you take on a fairly regular basis?
This is rather a sore point at present in truth. With Scrappy being on borrowed time as they say, and the dog walk no longer than between 5 – 10 minutes with the average on her terms of about 7 minutes, dog walking being the main form of exercise is out of the window. Suze, Scraps and l used to go for long walks, Suze and l used to go walking – but again with the way Scraps is – we tend to not stray far from the house these days … just in case, you know?
Of course once sadly Scrappy is no longer with us, we will start hiking and wildlife trekking again.
I recently bought myself some kind of leg exerciser which helps to keep the calf muscles trim and firm [the image above is not the exact model as mine has a digital counter so l can track various things] but l use it for between 5 – 10 minutes twice a day at varying degrees of pedal strength, so that is at least something. It is not the most practical exerciser and constantly moves around the floor despite the suckers!
I am going to buy an exercise bike, l had looked at something a bit more elaborate recently but decided against that and decided to go with a simple but effective model that both Suze and l can use when the weather is just downright horrible during the winter months, especially.
In addition to this, gardening is a great form of both relaxation and exercise ‘when’ the weather is not being an ass! Raking this garden is pretty strenuous, and of course once the composting turning commences, that is rigorous as well, so these gardening tasks assist the cardio and upper body workouts.
I did wonder about becoming a Yogi Bear ………….
…. but Suze said that is not YOGA!!
My defence of , “But babes, l couldn’t look like you …..”
….was a lost argument as well
She simply answered ‘”Well ‘hun!’ What’s the worst thing that could happen?”
But l think next year my exercise activities are set to expand further.
So there we go folks!
Three basic The Really You questions for you …
… now it’s your turn!
If you create a post with your answer please do remember to add a ping back to this post – l am currently not getting all the links and so sometimes l never see your responses, so a manual link in the comments also helps out – Cheers Rory
