  1. Top songs. Sweet Child o’ Mine – Guns & Roses, rock you like a hurricane – Scorpions, you shock me all night long – AC/DC, start me up – Rolling Stones, free falling – Tom Petty, the final countdown – Europe, summer of 69 – Bryan Adams, addicted to love – Robert Palmer, here I go again – Whitesnake

  2. Good morning Rory 😊
I’m not sure you can choose any bad eighties song 😜 If I think of an especially good one though, I’ll let you know.
I’ve enjoyed your 70’s picks. I forget the good ones from that decade 🎶

      1. Cool! 😎 It’s kind of fun letting it be a surprise though. When you post the songs, I’ve smiled at how often I think – wow, I didn’t know that song was from that year. 🙃. Still I’ll be thinking of some.

        1. Hey Suzanne, yes that’s the beauty of remembering those songs – as we have crept towards 1980, and very much so this current year of 79, it’s been a real cruise down memory lane 🙂

  3. Happy Kindness Day my kind friend! Thanks for the Zep to give me zip.

Akismet did some more tweaking, said a comment went to your spam again but hopefully everything is fixed. I guess this will show us😉

    I hope you’re enjoying a wonderful Wednesday!

    1. Well l had to approve this one, it wasn’t in spam, yours rarely are, they are in my comments directory just need approving. Mostly if you are not here, you are in pending – am l using different terminology to others? I tend to answer my comments from the directory on the immediate dashboard, l hardly ever go to the ‘comments’ section – well once /twice a day to make sure there are no stragglers.

      1. I’m not sure of the terminology either. I read comments by clicking on the bell icon on the far right or I check the spam queue by going into the comments directory by clicking the circled W on the far left.
It might be different in the app but I dont use the app anymore and cant remember the setup.

I emailed our new friend Tracy again. I’m guessing they’re still “tweaking” me😉

        1. Yes, that’s what l do Angie – bell icon first and then if l have to that’s when l go to comments – l am confused when you say this though … “”It might be different in the app but I dont use the app anymore and cant remember the setup.”” Do you mean phone app? Is this ultimately something to do with mobile applications and WP stll glitchy on that level?

        2. The phone app for WP is set up different. I used to use the app but it doesnt show everything.
Now, I use my browser and go to WP dot com and use the reader. Still on my phone. Its slightly different than desktop layout, but I can choose desktop, it’s just too small on a phone.

As to the comments needing to be approved, the final word from Carolyn S. at Akismet is that that IS a WordPress problem. Her exact statement:

“Again, your comments after we fixed things on our end are going to Pending, not Spam. For that blog owner, it sounds like their WordPress install might have a setting that is marking you to pending. If they find moderating your comments bothersome, they would need to reach out to support to see why it’s happening as they’re the ones hosting this site.

There’s nothing else we can do or “tweak” on our end because you’re not getting caught in spam anymore.

          I hope that clarifies things.”

        3. As suspected – it’s WP – the same thread as the likes of Pingbacks not working as well.

Well as said ‘ l am not bothered by approving your comments’, l have never used the word ‘bothersome’ which irks me slightly ha ha, but l am guessing that is their terminology.
