    1. Hey Suzanne – lovely Monday to you 🙂

Here sadly we have had rain since 3pm yesterday afternoon and it’s not looking to move off till 3pm this afternoon – am very glad l got the garden/compost work l needed to get done yesterday 🙂

What have you got planned in for today?

      1. Sorry for so much rain. It rained here last night. Terrible storms but they’ve cleared out for now. 😊. Glad you got your garden work done!

        Jury duty 😕 for me

        1. Well hopefully, it’ll not be a bad case. Is it your first time? I don’t know if you can do it more than once? I did it a long time ago in the 80’s.

        2. I think you can serve over and over. I don’t think there is a limit. I was there all morning but they did not need me after all. They call many people and get everyone ready. Then you wait. If they don’t need you after all you get to go. Today everyone got released. Woo hoo!

        3. We get “called” up on a regular basis here but you may or may not actually serve once you get there. They over call people so as to have enough. Plus if a case settles then they won’t need you anyway.

        4. Hey Suzanne, no it wasn’t fun – here you get your expenses paid only – but luckily back then employers were more understanding – these days some employers would use that as an excuse to chop you from their books or worse if you were someone on zero hours contract l’d hate to think of the impact on them 🙁

        5. Oh that’s awful! Six dollars a day to be on call. That might cover parking. Perhaps a bit more if you serve. Definitely not enough to make ends meet. Gosh it shouldn’t be that way. I mean employers shouldn’t be able to do that to you. 😕

  1. I love that quote! We have to choose! When I finally figured that out, life was much better.
Hope you have a relaxing, productive evening.
I was checking the weather for the week and decided to check your neck of the woods too… YUCK! for both of us. You’ve got rain off and on all week and I’ve got Santa Ana winds blowing hot & dry. Temps in the mid 90s all week🥵 Its too bad we cant share a bit and even it out.
