FOWC with Fandango – Spider

Welcome to October 17th, 2019 and to Fandango’s One-Word Challenge (aka, FOWC

It’s designed to fill the void after WordPress bailed on its daily one-word prompt.

I will be posting each day’s word just after midnight Pacific Time (US).

Today’s word is “Spider”

Write a post using that word. It can be prose, poetry, fiction, non-fiction. It can be any length. It can be just a picture or a drawing if you want. No holds barred, so to speak.

Once you are done, tag your post with #FOWC and create a pingback to this post if you are on WordPress. Or you can simply include a link to your post in the comments.

The Insider Inside Her!!

Oh l do, l really do like it in here,
So warm, dark and cosy,
I pop out when l want to be nosey,
…. and in again when l want to disappear!

She don’t know l am here..
…least l don’t think she does,
This close, so close to her inner ear,
… she just hears me buzz,
Occasionally, cos l can see,
Except it’s not really a buzzing,
….. more like a slow munchy,
Type of cunning sucking!

Because l can and l do – just that,
…She don’t know l am here,
Because of her long curly head mat,
… which covers her ear!
So me being small and hidden,
… can eat her from the outside inside her,
I don’t care if it is forbidden,
Whats that to an insider inside her spider?

      1. Too late. Can’t close my eyes in case it is lurking somewhere to invade my head, nose, ears or hair!!!😱😰🕷

        1. Oh well, guess you’ll never sleep again … at least it’s not a rat trying to eat its way out of your stomach … l remember a strange tale of that from the 19th century or something ….
