Simon John Pegg (né Beckingham born 14 February 1970) is an English actor, comedian, screenwriter, and producer. He came to public prominence in the UK as the co-creator of the Channel 4 sitcom Spaced, directed by Edgar Wright. He went on to co-write and star in the Three Flavours Cornetto film trilogy: Shaun of the Dead (2004), Hot Fuzz (2007), and The World’s End (2013). He and Nick Frost wrote and starred in the sci-fi film Paul (2011).

Pegg is one of the few performers to have achieved the ‘holy trinity of science-fiction’, playing popular supporting characters in Doctor Who (2005), Star Trek as Montgomery “Scotty” Scott (2009–present), and Star Wars (2015). He currently stars as Benji Dunn in the Mission: Impossible film series (2006–present), and the Chamberlain in The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance (2019)

Big Nothing

An unemployed teacher with a chip on his shoulder teams with a scam artist and his girlfriend in a blackmailing scheme in an effort to provide for his family.

Burke & Hare

Macabre comedy based on the Burke and Hare murders carried out in the early 19th century. Dr Knox required bodies for dissection and use in lectures, and Burke and Hare found it a rather lucrative business to `provide’ these bodies in return for payment.

The League of Gentlemen’s Apocalypse

England’s weirdest town sees a reverse flow for some of the population. They learn that their creators plan to stop writing the series and thus end their fictional lives. Mad butcher Hilary Briss, Herr Lipp and Geoff set out on a desperate mission to London to confront their creators and sabotage their latest effort, a feature film called `The King’s Evil’, by infiltrating and disrupting the shoot.

Star Trek Beyond

A surprise attack in outer space forces the Enterprise to crash-land on a mysterious world. The assault came from Krall (Idris Elba), a lizard-like dictator who derives his energy by sucking the life out of his victims. Krall needs an ancient and valuable artifact that’s aboard the badly damaged starship. Left stranded in a rugged wilderness, Kirk (Chris Pine), Spock (Zachary Quinto) and the rest of the crew must now battle a deadly alien race while trying to find a way off their hostile planet.

Run Fatboy Run

Five years earlier, nervous bridegroom Dennis (Simon Pegg) leaves his pregnant girlfriend, Libby (Thandie Newton), at the altar. Now he realizes he made a big mistake and wants to win her back. Unfortunately, Libby is involved with a handsome, attentive and fit financier (Hank Azaria), who plans to run in a charity marathon. Out-of-shape Dennis enters the race — hoping to impress Libby — even though he only has three weeks to prepare.

 Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol

Blamed for a terrorist attack on the Kremlin, Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) and the entire IMF agency are disavowed by the U.S. government, while the president initiates the Ghost Protocol. Forced to go “off the grid” — left without resources or backup — Hunt must somehow clear the agency’s name and prevent another attack. Complicating matters even more, Ethan must undertake the impossible mission with a group of fellow IMF fugitives whose actual motives are suspect.

How to Lose Friends & Alienate People

Sidney Young is a down-on-his-luck journalist. Thanks to a stint involving a pig and a glitzy awards ceremony, Sidney turns his fortunes around, attracting the attention of Clayton Harding, editor of New York-based glossy magazine `Sharps’, and landing the holy grail of journalism jobs. The Brit jets off to the Big Apple and moves from one blunder to the next.

Star Trek

Aboard the USS Enterprise, the most-sophisticated starship ever built, a novice crew embarks on its maiden voyage. Their path takes them on a collision course with Nero (Eric Bana), a Romulan commander whose mission of vengeance threatens all mankind. If humanity would survive, a rebellious young officer named James T. Kirk (Chris Pine) and a coolly logical Vulcan named Spock (Zachary Quinto) must move beyond their rivalry and find a way to defeat Nero before it is too late.

Man Up

Nancy is travelling across London to toast another ten years of her parents’ magical marriage. She runs into Jack who mistakes her for his blind date. Nancy decides to go with it and starts the most chaotic journey of her life.

Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation

With the IMF now disbanded and Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) out in the cold, a new threat — called the Syndicate — soon emerges. The Syndicate is a network of highly skilled operatives who are dedicated to establishing a new world order via an escalating series of terrorist attacks. Faced with what may be the most impossible mission yet, Ethan gathers his team and joins forces with Ilsa Faust (Rebecca Ferguson), a disavowed British agent who may or may not be a member of this deadly rogue nation.

Hector and the Search for Happiness

Disillusioned with the tedium of his existence, psychiatrist Hector (Simon Pegg) confesses to his girlfriend (Rosamund Pike) that he feels he is a fraud for dispensing recommendations to patients who never seem to improve or get any happier. He considers breaking out of his lackluster routine. Summoning up some courage, Hector gives his starved curiosity free rein and embarks on an international quest to find the right formula to bring him joy and vitality.

  1. Your info under Star Trek is duplicate of the info for How To Lose Friends.

I’m so dang nit picky, why do you put up with me?😝

Thank you for showing me some movies I need to watch. Simon Pegg is hysterical.

    1. Thanks for the heads up, am slightly distracted – Suze got back today and is chatterbox of the century and has new times for everything because life in Devon has inspired her .. so am doubly distracted.
