Part 7 – Phase 4
Changing the routine of day to day blogging.
Over the last six weeks especially l have been tweaking the series l present and maintain as features in A Guy Called Bloke itself from the day to day, once a week, twice a month or just monthly focus point to try and acquire equilibrium between my content publishing to my reading and commenting and community interaction and engagement in comparison to time management.
I can’t deny it’s hard, it is, but slowly and surely through the process of elimination and ‘tweaking’, l am beginning to find the right balance for me. This is important from my point of view, because of the ease in which when you are working from a home office you have to work a strategy that allows for you, or in this case … me to stabilise the scales equally between profession, pastime and pleasure activities and as l am going to be utilising this blog for all three both directly and indirectly, then l most assuredly need to train my concentrations levels to be more proportionate.
Last week l was maintaining and sustaining on the blog a total of 43 regular features and catagories for a month and that’s a lot. This was principally split between the three P’s mentioned above, but upon closer inspection for Pastime and Pleasure that laid claim to 34 regular features over a thirty day period. Leaving 9 on the Professional side, which wasn’t really that big a problem as the ‘business side’ is still being researched and studied for. However as you may have read over the weekend l had this epiphany arise from this ‘scraping business affecting WordPress’ and that coerced me into more of an action road for the business side to commence.
The last couple of days, l busied myself with taking out certain features that l was running or had recently implemented during the June to July period. So the purpose of this post is just to inform my readership of the series that have not been killed off and will still run on either a daily, weekly or monthly basis.

I have offloaded most of my prompts and especially the multiverse features as these were difficult to successfully maintain due to either broken links, failing pingbacks and so on. So these were dropped for more manageable prompts.
The following features are either already in progress or are to be introduced between now and the next 10 months.

There are other features scattered through the tabs of my blog, but they don’t interact with my readership on a regular basis and so do not warrant a mention as they are just integral to keeping me on my toes of sorts, and there are other features l have not yet mentioned here due to those features requiring some seriously hard thought and decision making as to whether they are to appear at all.
Anyway, that about rounds up this episode of The Changing Face, l ‘ll catch you all in part 8.

Everything is moving right along…set backs, thefts and all. It’s like watching a house remodel on one of those home & garden channels.
Hey Grandma, yes l am very pleased, it is coming together now, l need to ensure that Pastime and Pleasure are balanced and then l can progress comfortably into Profession, knowing that l can centralise myself in the blog stable 🙂
It’s wonderful that you are organizing your blog. Waiting for new things here.
Hey Sadje, yes l am quite pleased with the way things are coming together 🙂

You are very good in managing so many things! I’m struggling with time nowadays! 😅
Time is friend to no one Ribana, not even me l know exactly what you mean 🙂
I wish I could stop time for at least a few years 😉 so that I can do everything I want to, without feeling the pressure that I don’t have enough time 😊
