Welcome to July 25, 2019 and to Fandango’s One-Word Challenge (aka, FOWC). It’s designed to fill the void after WordPress bailed on its daily one-word prompt.
I will be posting each day’s word just after midnight Pacific Time (US).
Write a post using that word. It can be prose, poetry, fiction, non-fiction. It can be any length. It can be just a picture or a drawing if you want. No holds barred, so to speak.
Once you are done, tag your post with #FOWC and create a pingback to this post if you are on WordPress. Or you can simply include a link to your post in the comments.
Note to Myself –
Don’t Be My Own Mundanity!!
There are no joys and thrills,
Excitements, beauticious spills,
Of being boring,
Nay keep your stillness snoring,
Away from me, my eyes, my brain,
I have no wish to be driven insane,
By you being mundane!
Forget your hum drumming anality,
Your unoriginal banality,
I want something more,
Not the ever more tedious chore,
From you being just another bore,
Over there if you must, there’s a back door!
Why bother me with this trivial and uneventful,
Tiresome, wearisome unremarkable material?
Give me something my teeth can sink into,
So I feel spellbound and enamoured and utter “Oooh!”
“I say, that’s something else isn’t it, total individuality!”
“Tis secrecy, forbidden fruits and lashings of sensuality!”
GIVE ME Debauchery and Sexuality!!
Anything, absolutely anything will do for me,
But, l don’t want dullards and droll and dull!
I do want wordery, that speaks to me in full!
That seduces my brain and tickles my fancy,
Give me reality, fantasy, HELL give me fucking necromancy!
Let’s raise the dead together, maybe?
Not ordinary, everyday, day to day drudgery!
Downtrodden, run of the mill, unvarying and dreary!
Give me adultery,
Rubbery unusual nunneries!!
But not the stuff that fries my brain,
Drives me insane,
Awards me pain,
Leaves a blotted stain,
Becomes a bane,
Makes me want to jump bored from a plane,
You just need to entertain,
My mind and not be so bloody mindlessly mundane!!!

Many people initially thought that this design was aimed at others, it never was … it was aimed at me to remind me to not bore myself!
