Part 5 – Phase 3
Whilst l acknowledge that many internal WordPress bloggers attend to their reading of fellow written works through the “Reader” l am equally aware that many also still do as l do and that is visit a reader’s blog and commence my reading that way. It is a rare occasion indeed that l utilise the Reader and the only time l visit that is if during my reading travels that l am quite simply unable to navigate successfully around the reader’s theme and their blog directly, to which point l must then use the reader to find current blog posts. However thankfully that is as said ‘rare’, but it does happen.
Personally, l prefer to read from the blog itself including my own as l am able to gather more of a sense of familiarity and personal identity and understanding of the writer through their visual presentation of their blog to the world.
Additionally as my blog is venturing more down the path of both personal and professional blog the latter for my business, l know that in the months to come l will be having to brave other platforms with a view to promoting my blog externally so that visitors will be able to visually navigate through my brand with ease and come to understand more about me and what l stand for, my passions and my beliefs.
This episode concentrates upon the designs created for my Home Menu Tabs.
Lisa of Lismore Paper has worked with me marvelously to capture the visions l had for my Home Menu Tabs, of which l have six in addition to the main Home tab itself, these being: About A Guy Called Bloke, Sundry, Topical, Stories And Tales, Blogger Reviewer and K9 Doodlepip.
Including my Home Tab, l only have a row of seven as l believe that this is more appealing to the eye, although all bar the Home Tab, have drop down menus with which l have been working with and indexing the content this week. The branded Blog logo is of course A Guy Called Bloke & K9 Doodlepip. But each Menu Image holds something specific to the section it represents.
So without further ado here they are:
In the next episode Part 6 – Phase 4 l will be discussing Featured Page Images and Promotional Paged Banners.
So on that note, my thanks to you all for reading.
Rory & Scrappy Doodlepip.
