Questions 07th July 2019
Are you a Summer person? A Winter person? Or one of the other seasons suits you best?
In truth l don’t have a particular season l prefer, but l have things l like from all the seasons …. I love Summer for the heat as long as heat is present, preferably the hotter the better. I tend to prefer to holiday in the Summer months, but having not had a Summer holiday since 1992, l have some catching up to do. I love the colours of Autumn, l love the still snows of Winter – please note the importance of the word ‘Still’, because l have very little tolerance if it is sludgy and thawing. Spring is a lovely month because the natural world really starts to open up for the year again, and it means that Summer and Autumn are coming again.
What is your favorite summer time clothing?
As little as decency allows. I can’t say vibrant colours as l tend to wear those most of the year. Ideally if we are somewhere hot, shorts and tee shirts and sneakers – not flip flops, dangerous they are. i will wear shorts abroad, but you’ll never catch me wearing shorts outside of the garden or the house here.
Do you find yourself eating out more during the summer? Or making ‘cold food’ like salads and stuff you can heat in the microwave?
If money is available freely, then Suze and l will eat out occasionally and we did so more when Scrappy was able to walk more freely, now that bless her she is restricted on walking to places and the car journeys are bad for her [lifting in and out] we haven’t been out anywhere for a good year during the warmer months. So then we tend to BBQ more in the garden and have lashings of salads.
Do you like watermelon? What’s your favorite summertime treat?
Love watermelon, however the best l have ever tasted was in Greece and not so great here in the UK. Don’t get me wrong it’s lovely but the Greek ambience is way better for eating it, as indeed is the heat. Best with Ouzo poured over it and add some salt and if not that, then soaked in Tequila, with salt and lime.
As to favourite treat, eating out – a fantastic piece of grilled but marinated fish, salads, new potatoes and herbs with a bottle of suphur free wine, with great company and close friends and plenty of laughs by the sea. Drinking in the sounds and the pleasures of the shoreline. Music softly playing in the background, not slow weepy stuff but something with some kick to it, but not so loud l can’t hear anything being said.
I am one of those bizarre people that doesn’t like watermelon, so can I just have the tequilla, lime & salt? Everything else sounds perfect!
Hey, sure have whatever you want 🙂
This is great! I haven’t seen you responding to post like this!
Well l am glad you liked it 🙂 It’s the first time l have done one of Melanie’s SYW which is perhaps why you have never seen this before on my blog 🙂
All the answers are already in the blog posts, but not all grouped together like this 🙂
Trying new things is good. Though you are already so busy that I wonder where you find the time.
Ah well, have you not noticed anything different this week, or is it still too early to ask that of people? Has anyone noticed?
Maybe I am not very observant. Please tell!😉
I am working my new content post system in place. I have reduced my content posts by 50% and increased my Community Posts by 50%.
I work with the magic number of 8 now.
Therefore, l have reduced my writing time by 50% – it started last Monday. You may remember that ‘Schedule l posted about, that’s the new schedule and it all centres around 8.
I will be writing about it in the Positive Brain series soon 🙂
It’s all about improving content and only producing 8 of my posts a day.
Wonderful! I should pay more attention to your morning post.
A lot has disappeared from that as well, now that is enjoying season 2 🙂
That I noticed. Actually when I see your first post, I am either going to bed or glancing at my app very early in the morning, so I am not all there mentally!
Which is another reason l reduced my content down, so l could straighten up my sleep pattern 🙂
So can relate all too well 🙂
That I can get! Sleep is important.
Exactly 🙂
👍
Thanks Rory for Sharing Your World!! (IF this comment comes through I’ll be grateful too). Not your fault btw…I think it’s WordPress at fault. I hope to see you participate each week and that you enjoy it too! 😀 Pet dear Scrappy for me and tell her ‘hello’ from her pals on this side of that huge pond! 😀
Hey Melanie or should l say Someone, as for some reason WP have decided to call you Someone, how very bizarre 🙂
