The Huge Hug Club

The Huge Hug Club

Once a week, once a month – The Huge Hug Club is active!

15th July – 21st July 2019

“A hug is a form of endearment, universal in human communities, in which two or more people put their arms around the neck, back, or waist of one another and hold each other closely. If more than two people are involved, it is referred to as a group hug”

“That’s what people do who love you. They put their arms around you and love you when you’re not so lovable.”

Deb Caletti

People used to say to me, well you are on the spectrum, you don’t need a hug because you have no empathy so it matters not, does it? My answer was always the same – everyone needs a hug. Hugging is different to snoodling and cuddling it’s a hug that can be shared by many to many – you are never too old, too young to receive a hug and a hug has some serious restorative powers to it – that’s the beauty of the hug.

But here are some certified benefits to the HUG:

Reduce stress

They can keep your immune system healthy

Boost your heart health

Make you happier

Reduce your anxiety and fears

Can make the monsters go away

Reduce pain

A Form of communication – as in ‘just to say hello’

The Huge Hug Club is a once a week, once a month event and the next week is 15th July – 21st July 2019

This is the promotion post for that week, so if you would like to receive a huge bear, lion or blog hug then drop your name below. Alternatively perhaps you would like to dedicate for another to receive one of the huge hugs – all is good, and the more the merrier – so drop me a comment below.

In Line for receiving a hug next month so far are …

  1. Everybody needs hugs although I never heard of scheduling them. I am sending one to you my friend for this sweet gesture. (( A HUGE HUG)) ☺

    1. Hey Ruth, oh l totally agree – although it’s funny in a sort of sad way.

My Mother never felt loved by my Father and l remember quite recently reading one of her letters to him after they divorced where upon she literally wrote ‘l was tiring of constantly having to schedule in time with you as your wife, hugs, attention and love’ are things to NOT be scheduled!”

My hug event, didn’t arise from that, it arose from last week, we were talking about everyone needs and appreciates hugs 🙂

Thank you for yours – caught it 🙂
