One Day …
Why, when you think there are joys in the air,
Can the walls tumble down?
Freely, without care,
And turn the face downside to a frown,
Strangely emotions can scatter,
Throughout a hundred yesterdays,
Lost moonbeams on dark waters, don’t matter,
When memories from the past arise today,
Tis true, for some reason, my stomach turned,
When you spoke so loosely,
And l felt forgotten turmoil’s burn,
Dark holes again within my soul, truly,
Love hurts, even though we each can be happy,
We test our love, our hearts, the very essence,
And look forwards to that ‘one day’,
When we both look upon the moonbeams presence.

Wow. Amazing poem.
Many Thanks Cristian
Love is truly a double-edged sword. Beautiful poem, as always.
Thank you my friend 🙂
My pleasure 🙂
This was great!
That is so lovely. It does seem to compliment my Pantoum, the two have a similar sound and voice.
Lovely poem Rory.
