Part 2 – Phase 1
The Branding of A Guy Called Bloke
Since the start of this year l have been somewhat occupied with various new projects and series that l have planned for the ‘A Guy Called Bloke Blog’ that will be introduced from now till the end of the year.
Several of the new series will start to make their appearance in the next couple of months and more so as the new branding takes shape and more of the designs come into fruition.
I will be discussing these changes in the series as they emerge. I should imagine that some of you have already seen the change in my Header space with the new logo. Originally this was to fill the space from left to right, however for whatever reason, the WordPress cropper wouldn’t play ball with the image and so the new logo had to be displayed in a much reduced version than originally planned and a new path had to be created for the branding to take hold.
Between now and September more of the new series and supportive branding will appear before the readership in several posts under The Changing Face. The whole operation is around 10 phases, perhaps less and will be written about in a dozen or so posts in conjunction with another series entitled The Positive Brain which is to deal with positivity and the direction of my blog and how it came to be.
In both a collaborative and freelancing role, Lisa of Lismore Paper has been helping me bring these ideas into a reality format for both myself and my readership.
But for this brief episode l just wanted to introduce you all formerly to the new branded image for my blog. The direction l now wish to take my blog into will also be discussed, although it was initially mentioned in Part 1 – Phase 1 – Hustles, Bustles, Hustling and Bustling! I will in the following episodes go into more detail.
But for this episode l introduce you to the new logo itself.
I have had four main ‘logo’ images created in banner and main feature design to support my posts. Two are displayed with K9 Doodlepip and two without which l shall discuss in more detail in Part 3.
I wanted to display with the new branding an incorporation of both personal and business, which is the direction that A Guy Called Bloke will be heading into. The design was to allow for a sense of laid back reading, inspiration and motivation as well as to still display the ‘stories and tales’ elementation that this blog is principally based on, and was born into from January 2018 when l first really discovered the direction l wanted and wished to take my blog.
K9 Doodlepip has a sizeable share to the content here, and in time her ‘blog space’ will show her in more of a legacy position as many of her series will continue to run, as they are indeed very popular with large parts of my readership and indeed hers.
However, more on that in the following episodes.
So on that note, my thanks to you all for reading.
Rory & Scrappy Doodlepip.
