Let’s see if l have this straight. I used to wear odd socks all the time and l was called crazy because it wasn’t a done thing! I stood out they said, l looked stupid they suggested, it wasn’t right!

I then started wearing normal even socks  ….

…. but then crazy fashion stepped out again … now ‘because odd is not just in, but even in, not odd nor even is odd, just odd is even! So now l have got odd socks again, even in it out once more, now it’s a thing or should l say thang, as in thang you society, for seeing what was even was odd, but what was odd was never odd but even even though it was already odd!”

Society is a funny thing, it widens the goal posts all the time and declares what it considers abnormal, till it decides it is normal? Go figure!

“That proves you are unusual,” returned the Scarecrow; “and I am convinced that the only people worthy of consideration in this world are the unusual ones. For the common folks are like the leaves of a tree, and live and die unnoticed.”

L. Frank Baum, The Land of Oz
