Quite a few of you got this question completely correct, this is a recipe that is for two people only and usually no cuttlery is required.

Any answer was acceptable here  For me, although l am a trained chef, my speciality is fish dishes, salads and desserts and Chinese cuisine. Whilst l am an extremely able chef, many a time if l am cooking for one as in myself, then l would rather have pizza. if l am cooking for Suze and myself it is different, but many a time Suze cooks because she says l am sometimes ‘too quirky even for her tastebuds. I can only think she is still thinking about the time l placed pink grapefruit into the stir fry.

Well l am pretty sure it was Fandango who made mention to Omelettes – like you good sir, l always screw these up in the same way as you and prefer to make scrambled egg – no great expectation there.

Eggs, Bread, Pasta, Potatoes and Rice.

Wine is great in both the drinking and for the use in various recipes. But usually best for the drinking.

I was once invited to a very strange buffet in London in 1993, l was escorting a lady editor of a cookery magazine who had been invited to a gathering and we had to sample all sorts of things. I could manage everything offered except the tripe which seriously made me heave and yet strangely enough l had eaten tripe once before when in Greece with the Ratcatcher – however at that point both of us were drunk as skunks and we could have eaten a decomposing fish and may not have minded either!

Why on earth is blue cheese blue and red cheese red, how so?

Blue ‘Vein’ Cheese made from milk from either cow, sheep or goat and then ripened with Penicillium mold cultures. Red cheese such as Red Leicester or Red Cheddar. The producers of red cheeses colour the cheeses various shades to denote the strength of the cheese itself, and in the case of Red Cheddar it was coloured to set it apart from normal Cheddar cheeses.

Beans make us fart because they contain sugars and fibres that are hard to digest by the body. When the sugars mix with the bacteria in our large intestimes they produce gas which in turn makes us fart. Asparagus and its asparagusic acid is converted by our bodies into sulfur containing chemicals that when we wee out may produce a stronger than normal odour.

Matcha is the odd one out, as it is a finely ground powder of green tea leaves grown specially.

Why does fish smell so fishy and so very fishy at that?

When alive and swimming around under water the fish doesn’t smell fishy, however once dead and allowed to sit awhile the scent starts to escape, and as the decomposition process starts it starts to release its wonderful odour. Most sea creatures once dead and out of the water smell exactly the same way, crabs, sharks, jellyfish and fish mostly smell the same – sickeningly fishy. However the smell rises due to the bacteria and the fish enzymes convert the trimethylamine oxide  into trimethylamine which is the culprit reason behind the smell.
