  2. My ideal reader is someone who reads the post and makes a comment that adds value to my content, promoting further discussion.

I follow lots of blogs but I can’t keep up with all the posts…
    Life gets in the way.
The ones I manage to read almost regularly have become like family or old friends. Even if they are not sharing personal info, I feel involved and connected with them.

I try to post new content daily but then again, life happens. I sometimes do a series of posts on a similar topic.

I would love to do the Truly Inspired series . I am ashamed to admit that I am not good at email so I haven’t sent for the questionnaire yet. I will do so as soon as I can get one of my kids to help.

I have answered the other questions earlier.

    3. Fort Worth, Texas, USA, Y’all. 😉
    4. I have my favorites that I seek out every time I log in. You can’t help but care and develop a relationship with these people. I care what happens to them in their daily lives.

  4. It’s a difficult balancing act. A blog starts off very manageable but at some point it becomes an entirely different beast. I didn’t blog for the first year, just read other blogs. I’ve now set a daily time for reading other blogs, I’d rather complete that than post on my blog.

  5. The wonderfully asked questions, it would be just unfair not to answer

1] Which 12 words best describe your blog?
‘Expect the Unexpected’ – Funny – Fictional – Relaxed – Me – Experiences – The odd ‘Life Lesson’ – Quirky – Light Read – Relatable – Love (its all over) – Friendship

2] If l asked you … what content do you publish mostly to your blog, you would say?
My thoughts! So many of them floating around.. I’d love to write more fiction too..

3] Where In Our World .. Are You?
India ..but it would be more ideal to say ‘running around in circles’

4] How Involved Do You Get With The Blogs You Follow?
It does get difficult to be involved a lot with every single Blog I follow – but I do make it a point to visit most of them off-n-on and drop a comment or two..

5] Who do you think your ideal reader is?
Could be anyone! I would think anyone who finds the things I write about .. relatable. He/She is the ‘Ideal’ reader.

6] How often do you introduce new content/new features to your blog?
Content – Once a week. That makes it around 4/5 for a month.

7] Would you like to take part in the Truly Inspired series?
I’m already part of it. Wonderful experience it was indeed!

  6. I only missed #4

How Involved Do You Get With The Blogs You Follow? I follow about 150 blogs, and granted, a portion of those aren’t active, but the active ones? It depends on how much time I have. There are ten or so blogs that I actively participate with (yours is one), and the others when I see they’ve written something that I would like to participate with. Otherwise I’m usually a ‘like’ and move along person, because all those blogs? Are too many to keep up with!

And I’ve already done your interview (thanks for the reblog the other day)!

  7. Hey Rory,

Please count me in Rory and thanks muchly, for this invite.

Which 12 words best describe your blog?
    Numerology. Celtic folklore. Family times.
Road trips in Australia. Our furry babies.

2] If l asked you … what content do you publish mostly to your blog, you would say?
I began by writing morning journals, each day, to send letters to my Mom,
to overcome the grief of losing her. I had found great comfort, in imagining, that I could still chat with her and it seemed as though, she was always there, at the tips of my fingers. This habit progressed into a natural love of rhyming poetry. I am fascinated by myths and legends, particularly of Celtic folklore. As I research the facts, I then weave a poem into, the daily numerology theme.

3] Where In Our World .. Are You?
    Perth, Western Australia.

4] How Involved Do You Get With The Blogs You Follow?
I prefer to keep a small number of bloggers, so that I can spend time, enjoying reading their writings, rather than quick scanning over words to tick “like”
I believe that if someone has taken the time and effort to share their stories, that their work should be respected with full attention.

I sometimes comment, (if there aren’t, like 80 comments 😀 ) because then, most bloggers have already said, what I had wanted to say. I enjoy reading the comments thread too. I generally look for a blogger who I relate to and then from there, I may check out their blog; to see if we share, common interests.

5] Who do you think your ideal reader is?
Firstly, my readers would have to like ‘rhyming’ poetry, as this is my favourite style. They should have an interest in exploring the meaning of numbers. They would be seekers of truth and mystery, particularly within Celtic legends. Then, must be adventurers who would like to take a road trip with us, around and about Australia, but most importantly, they must, MUST love, ours and, all, furry animal friends.

6] How often do you introduce new content/new features to your blog?
I am always changing the contents, it depends on the mood of my day.
The only constant, is ‘numerology’, as for me, this is a theme and each day. Much like a morning affirmation, if you will.
As once someone said “You learn something new every day” and yes I know that is a cliché, but for me it is central to my writing. My style is constantly evolving, dependent on, whether at home or away.
To cut a long story short, I am basically writing the book that I want to read.

7] Would you like to take part in the Truly Inspired series?
What is the “Truly Inspired” series, can you please explain?

Cheers Rory, hope I didn’t make a short story too long 😀

  8. I don’t know how to answer most of these questions. I try to blog with a sense of humor most of the time, even criticizing Trump. Sometimes I get bogged down thinking of the homeless or PTSD or other subjects probably considered downers. I am grateful for anyone who cares to comment on my scribbes. If I write something that gives a smile in your day I’m satisfied. I love the blogging community, made friends here and correspond with some privately. The diversity here is attractive to curious people like me, being an armchair traveler. : ) I probably brag about my family too much, but voice my opinions on most everything. I like to write using I – I think it makes the reader more involved and sometimes people think that I’m talking about me in a story, but it’s usually fiction.
You do great work here, Rory, thank you!

  9. Answered Yet?
1] Which 12 words best describe your blog?
    Been there -answered weeks ago
2] If l asked you … what content do you publish mostly to your blog, you would say?
    Three kinds:
    1. Cancer and metastatic cancer related including: personal experiences; relating general information for education in this important realm; and very non-bullshit photo centric medical experiences.
    2. Poetry both my more creative pieces and a few related to cancer; and relationship posts regarding my partner, being in a relationship with someone with depression, and the specifics of carer (or care giver as the role is more widely known).

3] Where In Our World .. Are You?
In North America, in the United Stooges, Northern California currently San Jose moving to the country in the next 60-90 days to cleaner environs where my partner, my cat and me can write, focus our everyday energy on enjoying life, see the stars at night where the light pollution isn’t overcast, and with the best case scenario have my workshop with a window seat to ride a horse in my acre of land once a day weather permitting. We hope to grow about 30% of our own food. So less work more self sustaining fun, all because life kicked our overworked asses ave now we made a conscious decision to become the best at taking care of our health – mental and physic, the environment, our contribution to leaving a true legacy and also loving our space. Since I sell vintage after being forced to retire four years ago, I am looking forward to redoing our house all in reclaimed and used furnishings. So much to look forward to!
4] How Involved Do You Get With The Blogs You Follow?
As much as humanly possible – when I can I do and I do so thoughtfully. When I can only read I do my best to leave a “like” if I do and to put my graffiti on the wall as it were.
5] Who do you think your ideal reader is?
Anyone who has been touched by a terminal illness either personally or someone they care about.
6] How often do you introduce new content/new features to your blog?
At least one x per week.
7] Would you like to take part in the Truly Inspired series?
Absolutely- I would like to take all my 30 years of professional experiences and use them in my new life. I’ve spoken in front of audiences the largest of which was 8,900 and I’m looking forward to someday getting invited to a podcast Interview.
8] How much planning goes into your blog on a daily, weekly and monthly basis?
I have an outdated calendar as so much changes in cancer on a daily basis I only plan to publish what’s up and some posts are always being written in the background including poetry and like a piece I’ve been writing and am about to post on is there a real possibility for a cure for cancer
9] How much time do you spend inside the virtual world that is your blog?
About 2 hours a day average.

    Liked by 3 people

  10. 1] Which 12 words best describe your blog?
Creative. Eclectic. Fiction. WiP. Fantasy. Magic. Drama. Humour. Nature. Curiosity. Poetry. Expression.
2] If l asked you … what content do you publish mostly to your blog, you would say?
    Fiction.
3] Where In Our World .. Are You?
    UK
4] How Involved Do You Get With The Blogs You Follow?
I try to visit my reader regularly and to leave some likes and comments, plus I try to signal boost by sharing a few pieces on my blog each month.
5] Who do you think your ideal reader is?
Someone open to my overall style and approach to writing – those who like magic and magical realism over gritty thrillers probably.
6] How often do you introduce new content/new features to your blog?
    I answered this previously 🙂
7] Would you like to take part in the Truly Inspired series?
    Not at the moment 🙂
8] How much planning goes into your blog on a daily, weekly and monthly basis?
It varies. I write weekly pieces anything between 1 day and 2 weeks before posting, sometimes choosing a theme for the month (this month it’s 3 sentence posts)
9] How much time do you spend inside the virtual world that is your blog?
It varies, probably about 1 hour per week on writing, editing, posting, and another hour reading and networking.

  11. #3 Where in our world …are you?
I’m located on Long Island which is the island next to Manhattan Island off the coast of greater New York. 2 of the five boroughs of NYC are on Long Island, then there’s Nassau County, and further East is Suffolk County. I live in Suffolk County on the North Shore. However, I like to think of myself as a global citizen. It’s so important to see past the end of your own nose.
#16 Are you still achieving ‘being you’ in your blog?
A little piece of me goes into everything I write. I am definitely achieving being myself in my blog. Hopefully this doesn’t scare away the tourists.
#13 What both energizes and drains you with regard to creating your blog posts?
I feel the best energy when I’m pulling my posts together with the facts, storyline and photos. I really like when it all starts to come together. It starts out as a bunch of notes and research and takes a few days to start to form into what I want to communicate to my audience. The pictures really pull it together for me and often guide my posts organization. The most draining part is working on the SEO. It’s a necessary evil.

  12. I believe I answered all of the questions minus yesterday/today…
May 1st: I think we all would like to make an impact on our blogs in some way or fashion. I have read some outstanding post here on WP, and they have helped me or made me ponder. I would like to be the type of blogger that keeps an open forum going, by keeping my blog as real to life as possible (Mental Health), The other being creative writing. I enjoy challenging myself, and I appreciate all feedback good/bad. This is the only way I’m going to improve my writing skills.
May 2nd: Who am I really? What you and everybody else read on my blog is me. I don’t hold back, I’m honest, I upfront, what you see is what you get. I have Bipolar, Anxiety, PTSD, OCD, Insomnia, and apparently, I self-harm myself with Trichotillomania (Excessive nail-biting). I am also an introvert, with social anxieties as well. I am at my most comfortable here with everyone here on WP. I consider this my life-line!

  13. If you kept a diary, would you lie to it or if you keep a diary do you lie within your pages and if so to either questions … why?

This is really like my diary and not I don’t lie or haven’t lied when writing it. I feel like this is my one place I can come and say whatever I want.

What Would Make For A …
What Do You Think Makes For A Good Blogging Experience?

Did you read other blogs before creating your own?

No unless it was just something that popped up here or there that I started reading and it ended up being a blog. But to follow or read the same one all the time no.

Do You Actually like everything you write about?

No not even though I am writing about what is going on in life not everything that happens in life are things we like or want to talk about.
What Makes You want to follow another Blogger’s Blog?
It must be something that I can relate to or I am interested in.
How much routine and structure do you like your blog to have?
What would you think suitable as a first prize for a writing competition?
What is it about our community here in WordPress that you like or dislike?
What do you consider to be your biggest personal faults when blogging?
My biggest fault like you is to many words or over thinking things. I always feel I am not getting my point across if I don’t go into great detail.

We would all love to make money from our blogs if we could, but does this mean we have to sell our souls purely to the advertising devil, or is there any other way?

I started my blog with the idea I would like to make some money from it but have never made it to that point. Life happened and I just never followed through with it. Thinking about it again lately I wonder if I want to try that with my blog now or if it would take away from it in some way.
There are a few people I followed the last year or so and they started doing different adds or sponsorship’s for places and really I have stopped reading or watching as much since because it seems like that is all that is on there anymore or the first thing that pops up when you go to look for new stuff. I don’t want to turn people away from my blog that way. I have thought about starting a new one for that but I don’t know what I would write about or if I have time for that yet.

Do you think you are too honest for your blog, your readership and your audience?

No not really my blog is first and foremost for me then my readers and flowers. I am very much this is me take it or leave it. I think I have lost some followers as my views have changed on some things and with being open and honest about others. But I feel that we need to look at people over all not just one little part of their life when making a judgment on them. We all can be different still get a long and be friends, readers or followers. We do not have to agree on everything. People should not feel they have to keep this or that a secret because what will someone think. Or feel they are different because they feel this way or that way about something occasionally that maybe they shouldn’t. But that is life sometimes we don’t like or kids or our co workers that is okay. We all have thoughts and feelings like that sometimes it is normal. I think the shaming is huge when it comes to parents and the way they raise their kids or the way they feel about them sometimes. We need to get away from that. So, if I am not feeling something one day then yes, I will tell you all about it. If I screwed up and had to buy my kids lunch out of the little store selection that day because something happens, I share. Because you know what it isn’t ideal but life happens we are not shitty parents or what because of bumps in the road or blips that happen because we are doing the best we can and kids are kids and do what they want no matter how good of a parent we are.

Do you consider your blog an art form?

No, but never really thought about it either.

How Important Is Your Blog To You?

I love my blog I love writing but it really is one of those things that I have so much in life going on I can take it or leave it. I am not one that stresses I have to write everyday or must have x amount of followers. It is just something to give me, me time and let me vent or get things out. If I have to I will take extended breaks from it and be okay with it. I have in the past and when I first started. I try to keep up with it more and do better but it is not something I let stress me out or worry about.

How often do you post content to your blog?

I try to daily but sometimes it is every few days or sometimes once or twice a week.

Do You Feel Guilty if you don’t read a certain amount of blogs per day?

I don’t feel bad for not reading a set amount in a day. But I do feel super guilty because I have not been reading any in a while. I sat down and caught up on a bunch a few weeks ago and have fallen behind on them again as well. I have time to read or write lately and I have been writing. I am trying to find my balance since starting this new job and working so many hours a week.

In your opinion what do you think makes for an all round blogger?

How do you motivate yourself to keep your Blog up and running?

I need a place to just dump or get everything out and vent to, so that is my motivation to keep it going.

Do you find that there are Bloggers who have impacted your blogging experience and if so how?

    How competitive are you?

Out side of blogging very competitive, and driven. I think competition pushes you to do better and get further depending on what you are doing.

What has been the most challenging moment in your blogging journey so far?
Have you ever considered the impact you have on people?
What helps you to be continually creative, inventive or imaginative with your blog?
    What inspires and motivates you?
In the future where do you hope your blog will take you?

How Much Time do you spend in your blog?

I would say maybe 5 hours a week between all my post when I am posting regular.

How Specifically Unique are you to your blog’s personality today?
Which 12 words best describe your blog?

If l asked you … what content do you publish mostly to your blog, you would say?

The everyday happenings in life in the world of a single mom with depression and an anxiety.

Where In Our World .. Are You?

    Florida

How Involved Do You Get With The Blogs You Follow?

I am not as involved as I would like to be because I have had so little time to do more than just write. But I hope to find a balance and be more involved soon.

Who do you think your ideal reader is?

How often do you introduce new content/new features to your blog?

Again other than my normal post, not as often as I would like and hope to change that soon.

Would you like to take part in the Truly Inspired series?

    I did, I think

How much planning goes into your blog on a daily, weekly and monthly basis?
I don’t plan something happens I feel I want to write about, or I see something or read about something I have something to say about I just sit down and start writing when I have time. Honestly if I sit and think out the whole post in my head before I post it, I will never post it. I think my writing lets me work out a lot of my thoughts while doing something else besides just thinking about what it is that is going on or happened. Where if I make myself sit and take the time to think it all out then I have already figured out whatever it is so then there is no need to go back and write it out. To me it is like reading the same book twice I just can’t do it. If that makes since. I think I write because I have to get out what happen but also process it and most the time I don’t take time to process things until I am writing then I go oh what about this or that. I will say I just thought or maybe it was this not that while I am writing. If I have already processed it before I write then I feel like I am writing for nothing.

How much time do you spend inside the virtual world that is your blog?

Maybe 5 hours or a week all together on a good week when I can post often.

Would you read your own blog?

I would like to think so.

What prompts do you offer on your blogs to your readerships?
What are three good things about your blog?

What both energies and drains you with regards creating blog posts?

This is one in the same I think. With writing about life and what is going on somethings can just drain me or put me in a bad mood because of whatever happen and then other times it can put in a better mood or make me want to do more. It depends on the out come of all the processing of all that happen.

How often do you share other blogger’s content to your your blog and your readership?

I don’t a lot right now, I think once I get to where I am able to read more I will start sharing more.

How many posts do you write on average per month?

This year so far I am averaging about 45 post a month.

Are you still achieving ‘Being You’ in your blog?

Yes because as I said above my blog is for me first and foremost and my place to dump, vent and process so I am not going to stop being me.
What do you find the most frustrating aspect of blogging?
Dealing with being so busy and then the depression on top of it makes blogging a little hard at times. Because there are times I have time and plenty to write about but then my depression just won’t let me. No matter how much I try and push through and do it, it is just something I can not get into and sit long enough to do. But then when I am busy and don’t have time or can’t for whatever reason I’m thinking I need to write I need to do this before I forget what I wanted to say. I have to find that sweet spot where I have the time and can. I seem to cycle about once a month or two I get in a funk where I just can’t force myself to write. I will pop on and do a quick check in or something like that but not much. Or the times when there really isn’t anything going on to write about but I feel like writing. That is where my rambling post come in.

    What Genre is your Blog?
How Do You Follow Your Followers?

It’s All In The Brand Name Right?

I feel it is in the content, a lot of times I see the name of a post or read the little clip of it and will go read it and look at the blog before I ever look to see what the blog’s name is or anything like that. By that point I have already decided if I like it and want to follow it or not. If it is something I am interested in, something I can relate to and it is a well put together blog, I will follow. I don’t like blogs with adds all over or a bunch of stuff all over that makes it hard to read or figure out where things are.

What Five Words Do You Want?
    Honest, real, relate, funny, strong

Why Should People Read Your Blog?

Have you found since started you blogging that you have changed as a person?

Very much so, I started my blog about 7 years or go or more and I have grown so much and come a long way from where I was then.

How do you decide what content to roll out in your blog?

What Time Is Best To Publish A Post?

When I fist read this I thought anytime you have time to sit down and work on your blog. But if you are talking about when you feel you get the most readers and things. I would have to say around 10am or before. It seems that everything happens around 10.

What is it about them [Awards], that you like and or dislike?

I think they are a fun way to interact with other blogger, getting your blog out there and finding new ones to check out. They are good filler if you really don’t have anything to post or you feel like posting.

Do you have enough time in your day to get all your WordPress stuff done?

I don’t have time in a week, I just have to fit it in when and where I can. Honestly a lot of my post anymore are done from my phone while I am laying in bed trying to fall a sleep at night, since I lay there for hours sometimes. I post some from work depending on how busy we are. I like doing them from my day job I can use the computer it is faster and easier. At my other job or laying in bed they are all done from my phone it takes longer.

Oh no, what are you going to do now?

How Important To You Is It To Make An Impact?

It isn’t super important, but I do hope that others like me who are trying to do it all and working their butt off doing it can read relate and go hey I’m not wrong for feeling this way or that way sometimes. Hey I’m not a horrible person because this or that happen. It is okay to mess up and we aren’t going to ruin our kids lives because of a screw up here and there. Because so often family and friends are so hard on you and judge when they have no idea what it is like because they are not there or they are not putting their kids first or they have help or whatever it may be. If nothing else they walk away knowing they are not alone.
