Spin The Yarn – Bill Said It First Apparently, But …
So what is it really all about? |
At the core of the game it is basically a fiction based writing prompt with a twist. The twist is really the ‘naughty side’. Everyone thinks naughty to mean ‘ooh la la’ and it’s not always that – but that is NOT saying that there are NOT elements of that present in future games, as there will be. There will be naughty, risky or risqué if you prefer, downright odd and strange, unusual and weird and oft inappropriate questions posed. Naughty in the majority of our game means to bluff, to fib and to fabricate the truth as you, the writer, readers and challengers believe that to be. Your role is to make your stories both incredible and credible, plausible and implausible flights of fancy – the most creative and imaginative inventiveness adventures you can muster up! |
Game 2 – Season 1 |
One Game lasts for as long as the story board lasts – meaning that as there are several ‘topics’ below for the story teller to recreate in their mind to then present their tale, their take on it to their readership |
There are to be four games to one season, therefore each season is 8 weeks. |
The story tellers can decide how often they wish to tell a tale during the course of the game – there is NO obligation to complete all, should you wish to only recreate one tale, you can, should you wish to do them all – you can. |
That choice is yours. |
The scoring is down to your readership, however at the end of each of your tales you need to pose this question … |
“How Credible or Creative do you find my tale – please score me out of 10. Be this Creative 10 or Credible 10 – Thank you” |
Your Tale Choices This Week Are …
William Shakespeare may have said these things first, however You think you can make your readerships believe it was in fact YOU who said it first! So here we go, explain the meaning behind the phrase?
“Did Bill really say it first, or did you?”

There is no ‘word count restriction per se, however perhaps to aim to have your tall stories between 300 – 750 words is quite fair. |
Some of the tale suggestions have links, should you need or seek clarification … jus’ sayin’ |
This is no ‘tag’ prompt, meaning you do NOT have to tag anyone else. |
