QQ: What Time Is Best?

QQ: What Time Is Best To Publish A Post?

Last year l remember reading an article that said the best time to actually publish a post was 10.55 am in the morning ….. this got me to thinking – how is that possible?

I mean 10.55 am UK Time is 12.55 pm in most of Europe, is reflective upon Winter or Summer hours 8.55/9.55pm in Australia, 11.55pm in New Zealand and as for the States well there is quite a bit of difference but is roughly 5.55am as well as Canada and 4.25pm in the likes of India and 6.55 pm in Hong Kong, and the list goes on and on … so how could 10.55am be considered the BEST time to post an article??

My first post of each new day goes out at between midnight 55 or 1.55am and continues roughly at 55 minutes on the hour/two hour mark through out the day.

So what is the perfect time to effectively publish a post that hits most the WP traffic zones at the so called ‘right time?’

Is there a clear time or is it all a myth?

Do you ever think about the time zones when you are publishing posts as in globally, or only consider your own time zone?

Let me know below – cheers.

  1. I just schedule my posts from 8;00 am to 2: 00 pm. I have no idea which would be the best time fo my readers. The loyal ones do get to them sooner or later.

    1. Hey Ashley, many thanks for the answer – so you work on the premise of the daylight hours being the reading time so in essence a 12 hour effective window would you say?

  2. Iโ€™m terrible at that! When I finally get to write Iโ€™m so excited that Iโ€™ve finished something that I just publish ๐Ÿ™ƒ. I figure readers will read when they do ๐Ÿ˜Š. Great question!

    1. That’s my way too, always if i am able to connect I publish then……otherwise it will wait til library. Readers have to figure out their own system, good grief, I have my own system I cannot cater to some time zone;;DOES anybody know what time/day it is really?

  3. Yes! I relate to Both! ๐Ÿคฃ
I have some โ€œduckโ€ thoughts that have been quacking around for over a year. Theyโ€™re probably not much but when they finally make it to finished…thereโ€™s no way Iโ€™ll be able to schedule them and sit on it. Publish! Right now! ๐Ÿคฃ

And on your other post about has blogging changed you…YES!

    Cheers Rory!

    1. I could just see you, the thing is, l am the same lmao!!

Ooh ooh it’s finished, what shall l do shall l wait till tomorrow???

No, why do tomorrow what l can do today!!!

      I have a post folks!!

      1. Tomorrow??? Tomorrow is not a thing! Now is a thing ๐Ÿ˜†

I have a post now! Tomorrow can take care of itself!!

And, I do in fact have a pin of a banana on my badge lanyard that I wear when I read to children. Guess what?! They love the banana!! ๐Ÿคฃ

            1. I know, oh trust me l do know, l have in the past been likened to a six year old they thought they were insulting me, and l took it as a compliment lol! That’s why l know about the power of the banana ๐Ÿ™‚

              1. Yes it is – they just didn’t see it that way when l was laughing at them, and said “Gees thanks, l think that is the best thing l heard all day !”

The bullies then thought l was wack job and left me alone ha ha ha!

  4. Donโ€™t know. I post when I can, though Iโ€™m not fond of โ€œbunched upโ€ posts. If I have a couple in a row, I may schedule one an hour later. I donโ€™t want to give readers Paula fatigue. Since people are reading from all over the world, it makes no sense to talk about the โ€œbest time.โ€ I like to schedule posts in the middle of the night, so when I write a new one in the daytime it can go out at a completely different time. I have my 3TC posts scheduled for 10pm so people can have them for ideas by morning.

  5. Five A.M. (Mountain Standard Time) is my personal favorite. I schedule all my pre-scheduled posts to air then. It’s 7 a.m. Eastern Standard Time and 4 a.m. Pacific whatever time, so I figure it’s sort of in the middle. I have no idea what time it might be in Europe or elsewhere on the globe, but so far so good.

  6. I schedule my FOWC posts for midnight Pacific Time each day. I usually schedule another to post at around 3 am PT and another around 6 am. After that, it depends upon what prompts Iโ€™m responding to and how my day is shaping up.

  7. As I was reading other’s responses, it truly dawned on me… I really don’t have a specific time. The last post of the day for me is the first of the next day… (Does that make any sense?) it’s “The Quote of The Day” – My writing schedule thereafter is usually after 12pm-1pm EST. I get up, I have to wake my lazy roommate up for work, get the pets settled, have my coffee, read other posts during this time, then I try to get some writing done.
I think I casually go about it because I don’t want to add pressure to myself and burn out. During a depressive episode, is when I have to take my time.
If I wasn’t going through an episode, I would be writing from dawn to dusk. So, hows that for a long-winded answer? LOL!

    1. No Beckie, l don’t think that is long winded in the slightest – PLUS l am a long content writer and bloody verbose as is ha ha – so this covers the question with an answer very well.

I am the same, l don’t have a specific best time, l put in anywhere between 16 – 22 posts a day never mind what l might share of others which takes my daily up to sometimes 30 posts, but by the time the dust settles, l am then back down to the actual figure of around 16-18 posts of which include the current ‘reblogs’ that are stationary in comparison to reblogs which are in a status of post datedness.

My first am post is usually 00.55 and my last pm post is either 22.55 or 23.55

  8. I post between 11:00 am and 12:00 pm. I figure that much of the US is awake by then, and that Europeans are home from work and still awake.

  9. I really donโ€™t have idea what is the best time! I usually schedule my post at 12:30pm Singapore time which I know is morning in Europe…I usually check my blog and read in the morning before going to work…but I think everybody is different and they have different schedule of the day…hopefully my posts reach them ๐Ÿ˜Š

  10. This is one weird thing about me and I have no idea why I do it.
I have developed the habit of preparing posts for the week to come on a Monday morning when I usually have some time to myself. I schedule them to be published at 5:58am – on a day. I have no idea why I chose that time. When I wake up in the morning I have to make a coffee and take my painkillers. But the time I actually feel as if I am awake and I have the energy to look at my tablet I can see that there are a number of likes, but I also start to notice typos. So then a bit later I will turn my laptop on and edit the typos and reply to any comments that have appeared over night.

I do this unless I have to leave early for work. It’s best for me not to touch my laptop because it sucks up so much time!

      1. yeah, that’s it! i cannot schedule as my device won’t be on at a certain Connected that is…..so i like to think emails or something says Here’s another one!

      2. And I don’t worry about bunching my publishing because otherwise there will be zero blog lol! I have been going old school, Hunting down the ones i Want to see if they don’t pop right away, and it’s working for me. Just my other 2 cents worth……
