Bruce Springsteen

Bruce Frederick Joseph Springsteen (born September 23, 1949) is an American singer-songwriter and leader of the E Street Band. Nicknamed “The Boss,” he is recognized for his poetic lyrics, his Jersey Shore roots, his distinctive voice, and lengthy, energetic stage performances.

He has sold more than 135 million records worldwide and more than 64 million records in the United States, making him one of the world’s best-selling artists. He has earned numerous awards for his work, including 20 Grammy Awards, two Golden Globes, an Academy Award, and a Tony Award (for Springsteen on Broadway). Springsteen was inducted into both the Songwriters Hall of Fame and the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame in 1999, received Kennedy Center Honors in 2009, was named MusiCares person of the year in 2013, and was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2016.

  1. Love all his songs! You picked great ones. Rosalita, Born to Run, Candy’s Room, Streets of Philadelphia, I’m on Fire… those are probably my tops. But I also love his car songs: Pink Cadillac and Cadillac Ranch!

      1. 🙂 It’s hard for me to pick an absolute favourite with many of his songs as l love them all, it was a hard choice, so l opted for some of the commercial ‘knowns’ and some of the more not so heard ones 🙂
