TOTW Bumper Weekend
Bon Jovi faves: I’ll Be There for You, You Give Love a Bad Name, Livin’ On a Prayer.
Van Halen faves: Jamie’s Cryin’ (by far their best song!!!), Ain’t Talkin’ ‘Bout Love, Everybody Wants Some
Guess I have different Van Halen tastes from the average fan, lol!
I don’t think it’s a case of different tastes per se Paula, l don’t follow Bon Jovi or Van Halen – obvioulsy l know a few of their tracks as in commercially – but l am not a fan, so what l did was 1] looked hits specific to the 80’s as in 1980 – 1989 and 2] which were more popular over those 9 years …. Jamie’s Cryin’ was released in 1978.
When l do a full TOTW on both bands which as you know usually features 12 – 18 songs l can then include their whole range rather than just a specific era 🙂
I saw Bon Jovi in 1987. It was for their Slippery When Wet album. Fan-freaking-tastic show! I sang along and danced my butt off!
I saw Van Hagar (Van Halen with Sammy Hagar as singer) in the 90s. Another good show.
Then you are up on me, l have never seen either live or dead, just caught a couple of things on YouTube 🙂
