1] Blog Name
2] What is your blog’s specific genre?
At the moment I’m using it as a blog of encouragement although its also sometimes becomes the world though my eyes.
3] How old is your Blog?
My blog is still in its infancy stage it will be 2 years in September
4] Why did you feel the need to start an actual blog?
Ever since I was a child I would always have dreams where I would see myself somewhere in my dream writing notes… I never got to see what I was writing because would wake up before I could. I knew in my heart I was not novel able (no time or patience) so a friend of mine said “why dont you write a blog? I’d read it”
5] What age were you when you first started to write?
6] Was it a natural process or did something or someone inspire you to put your first thoughts to paper?
I have always had an opinion about life but when I voice my opinions people railroad me or speak straight over me and never finish my sentences so in actual fact my blog gives me a voice.
7] Would you say that your creativity flows easily or do you need to be motivated by an event or a moment in your life to trigger it?
I feel as though life and my creativity triggers it. I may be in a situation when Im minding my own business and something happens around me and BAM inspiration hits and i need to note it down for my blog later. As i start writing memories and emotions I felt at that moment merge with other happenings and it snowballs and becomes a lesson to myself and encouragement to others.
8] How frequent or prolific are you with your writing and blogging?
I try to write something at least 3x a week but sometimes life happens and Its longer between my blogs.
9] Is it just WordPress that your writing is displayed or other platforms as well?
Facebook too but WordPress is my first point of call because WordPress gave me my voice.
10] Do you use social media to advertise and market your blog? If so which ones and how effective is it/are they?
Yes I do . Twitter for me is not as effective as Facebook.
11] Writers block we all get it at one point or another – if you do suffer from it, how do you tackle the problem?
Oh my shattered nerves yes I get it and I hate it. My blogs are not long winded or pages and pages long but sometimes I look at my blank screen and nothing happens.
12] Which is your preferred writing/creative style?
Short and sweet with meaning…
13] What is the best thing about blogging in your eyes?
It gave me a voice… which is important to me because I always felt like I didnt have one before.
14] What prompts you to write about a topic on the day that you post?
Feelings or emotions attached to it. I try to help others going through similar situations by being a friend to the friendless. Everyone is going through the same stuff and often they feel isolated and alone in it… they dont have to . I’ve always been an oddball, offbeat different from the rest and I have never minded because it is who I am. And guess what im not unique because there are millions of people like me out there. Thats definitely something to celebrate. You can be in a crowd of people and still feel isolated and alone. I try and take the feeling of isolation away and say “ Hello, how are you… you are welcome here”
15] What advice would you award new bloggers to help and encourage them promote their blog and engage with their audience?
Dont lose hope… you have got this. Keep trying and carry on.
16] Do you have an overall blogging strategy or simply write because you enjoy writing?
Giving hope to people that think there is no hope. Writing gave me a voice it can give you a voice.
17] Do you feel it is important to have an engaging audience to the content that you write?
I do think that. I dont always succeed but I try.
18] If no one ever commented on your blog would this concern you, and if so how would you rectify the situation?
It sometimes does concern me but life continues and I carry on being me.
19] How long from start to finish would/can your content take you to complete?
I search inside so it takes a while.
20] Which do you think are your best 3 posts to date? Please link below so that our readers can see your style and take a step into your world.
They all come from deep inside an touch my inner being so they all count a lot in my heart and mind.
21] Finally, what advice would you offer new writers to the blogging community?
Keep it up. Dont lose hope. One day l will have 1000 readers it may be a year or two but today im happy with whoever l touch by reading it.
My sincere thanks to Donne for answering the questions of the Truly Inspired questionnaire and also for wishing and wanting to paticipate in the series.
Donne mentioned something which whilst l haven’t not seen before, l don’t often see, and it is a truth for many writers if not us all of us and that was ‘WordPress gave me my voice.’ So truer words spoken than those there – the ability to communicate to reach out, to in many respect hug another to wish them well and award them greetings is the beauty of our written words and of course the beauty of WP. We can speak to anyone we want from anywhere around the world, and l think at times some people forget that.
The other words from Donne reflectively are spot on also, with regards and reference to writing and of course blogging, keep trying and carry on, similiar to what l say with ‘Rome wasn’t built in a day’, but above all, don’t lose sight of hope. But above everything else, always be you, because everyone else is either taken or spoken for.
So what inspired YOU to start your blog?
