The Perils of Apps!

Apps will destroy the world and you will all let it happen! Pretty soon there will be an app that will ‘think’ for you – yes you alone, it will think for you, it will decide for you, it will make ultimate decisions for you and you will let it! As so many people don’t like to read any more, this crazy app will look at the content and decide whether you need it, if not off it goes – discarded. If however it decides you need this info, hell don’t worry at night when you are asleep, it will download the info into your lazy brain, and you will let it! And you will not even have to have seen it or let alone know you have digested it. Wow fantastic huh?

“One believes things because one has been conditioned to believe them.”

Aldous Huxley

***

“In the age of technology there is constant access to vast amounts of information. The basket overflows; people get overwhelmed; the eye of the storm is not so much what goes on in the world, it is the confusion of how to think, feel, digest, and react to what goes on.”

Criss Jami

        1. Yes …………and yet, it is l already feel here, remember there are always going to be %’s of a society that don’t want to have to think for themselves.

I remember once having a ‘true’ conversation with a friend of mine about 5 years ago, l said there was a new app for her phone, it was the pregnancy app, all you needed to do if you thought you were pregnant was urinate on your phone and it could tell you whether you were pregnant or not??

She was thrilled, wanted to download it straight away, an ‘always good to have just in case app’ so she could trial it out…. l told her, l am joking! I was being sarcastic, she just looked at me and grimaced and said “Damn!!” We so need that!

I said You couldn’t actually pee on your phone!

Not yet she answered, not yet, but soon, and when it does come out, it will be an instant hit! We need ‘phones’ to be able to think for us!
