1] Blog Name
2] What is your blog’s specific genre?
It started as a blog with the purpose of addressing issues facing women over the age of 50. My other passion is diet and weight management. But after a few months of blogging, I am doing different daily and weekly prompts, puzzles and games too.
3] How old is your Blog?
I started my blog on 6th of September. That makes it about five months old.
4] Why did you feel the need to start an actual blog?
I started to blog on a whim. Just to see if I could write. And now it’s become a passion for me.
5] What age were you when you first started to write?
I used to write poem for myself only in my school days. And would weave stories in my mind as a kid, but actual writing started with my blog.
6] Was it a natural process or did something or someone inspire you to put your first thoughts to paper?
It was an impulse. I had made a WordPress account to follow my friend’s blog and every time I opened my app, it would ask me to start my blog. So one day I did it.
7] Would you say that your creativity flows easily or do you need to be motivated by an event or a moment in your life to trigger it?
Most days I can write at will. Sometimes I get struck by an idea while taking my daily walk. I note down my ideas and later convert them into posts.
8] How frequent or prolific are you with your writing and blogging?
Initially I wrote two or three days a week. Now I post 4-5 times a day.
9] Is it just WordPress that your writing is displayed or other platforms as well?
Just on WordPress.
10] Do you use social media to advertise and market your blog? If so which ones and how effective is it/are they?
I made a Facebook page and a Twitter account which is linked to my WordPress account. But I seldom have time or the inclination to open those sites.
11] Writers block we all get it at one point or another – if you do suffer from it, how do you tackle the problem?
If I don’t have any idea to write a post about, I check out the daily prompts. Usually that works.
12] Which is your preferred writing/creative style?
I write prose, short articles and poems sometimes. Fiction is something totally new for me and I am not very creative in it.
13] What is the best thing about blogging in your eyes?
The interaction with other bloggers is the best thing about blogging. It’s like stepping in a room full of friends and chatting and exchanging ideas and stories with them.
14] What prompts you to write about a topic on the day that you post?
A number of things. An idea will come to me or a picture can trigger an idea. Maybe something I read on another blog can inspire me.
15] What advice would you award new bloggers to help and encourage them promote their blog and engage with their audience?
The best advice is to follow your heart. Write what you think and know about. And if writing about something new, do your research. Interact with other bloggers. And follow likeminded blogs. Don’t be in a hurry, people will notice you and follow you. Give it time.
16] Do you have an overall blogging strategy or simply write because you enjoy writing?
I write because I am enjoying myself. Strategy is not my strong point.
17] Do you feel it is important to have an engaging audience to the content that you write?
I don’t write specifically for my audience, I write what I want and people read it if it resonates with them. Otherwise, blogging will become like a job.
18] If no one ever commented on your blog would this concern you, and if so how would you rectify the situation?
I do love it when people comment and engage with me. It shows that what I am writing is of interest to others. So if no one commented I would be concerned. I don’t know how I would rectify the situation.
19] How long from start to finish would/can your content take you to complete?
It used to take a long time to write a post. Now I can write a few posts in an hour or so.

21] Finally, what advice would you offer new writers to the blogging community?
