It doesn’t really have a specific genre.

3] How old is your Blog?

The WordPress variant is 5 years old, it being a public take on a private blog on Live Journal

4] Why did you feel the need to start an actual blog?

It was to have a sort of diary and a way to get things off my chest. I also saw it as writing practice.

5] What age were you when you first started to write?

This blog? I would have just gone 31. The original blog I was about 20.

6] Was it a natural process or did something or someone inspire you to put your first thoughts to paper?

A bit of both, I think it was Amy Cherry who pointed me at a blogging site immediately.

7] Would you say that your creativity flows easily or do you need to be motivated by an event or a moment in your life to trigger it?

I think it comes fairly easily, but sometimes needs a crank handle.

I try to post something every day, the busier my schedule the shorter and less frequent the posts.

I have a more personal blog on Livejournal.

10] Do you use social media to advertise and market your blog? If so which ones and how effective is it/are they?

Facebook and Twitter really. I am part of a Shropshire Bloggers group on Facebook. I get a few hits but I don’t think it is a massive amount.

11] Writers block we all get it at one point or another – if you do suffer from it, how do you tackle the problem?

I look for prompts or read a lot of other posts. I find listening to music helps a lot.

I don’t think I have a prefered style to be honest.

13] What is the best thing about blogging in your eyes?

It allows you to write with out pressure.

14] What prompts you to write about a topic on the day that you post?

It is purely if I can think of a topic worth engaging on the blog.

Comment on other blogs alot and follow the various weekly and daily challenges.

16] Do you have an overall blogging strategy or simply write because you enjoy writing?

Pretty much the latter.

17] Do you feel it is important to have an engaging audience to the content that you write?

A little yes, but it isn’t essential for me.

18] If no one ever commented on your blog would this concern you, and if so how would you rectify the situation?

No not really.

19] How long from start to finish would/can your content take you to complete?

Anything from 10 minutes to just over an hour. It depends on the content.

21] Finally, what advice would you offer new writers to the blogging community?

Just keep writing.

My thanks to Sandman Jazz for taking the timeto answer our questions. I enjoyed this interview for a number of different reason, one because l alsways enjoy all the interviews, two because it was refreshingly relaxed and direct at the same time and three because of Sandman’s honest attitude towards both writing and blogging.

We can all write and most of the time it is easy and natural, but yes on occasion we all need a bit of cranking at times to get the mind working again, that music is a real recipe for allowing our minds oil to start burning – but also a real first with regards the ‘enjoyment of blogging question’ is to be able to write without being pressured to do so. Of course the last snippet is 100% accurate isn’t it – what’s your advice – ‘just keep writing’, it is simplicity in itself, but by jeepers it’s true – just keep writing.

If as of yet you are not familiar with Sandman’s blog, then l do suggest you waste no time in strolling over there and check out what’s currently on the menu and what has been served up before!

So what inspired YOU to start your blog?

Sandman is our 65th Interview will you be our 66th?

Please drop me an email at ….

…. and l will gladly write you up and share who you are.

It is simple – email me at the above Addy or drop me a line in my contact box and l will email you the questionnaire. Fill it in, send it back , and include images that you feel may support what you write, or about your blog, and l will write it up as a post and insert it into the series.

Come ON Who is going to be number……..
