1] Blog name?
2] What is your blogs specific genre?
My blog is a True Life blog. It could also be listed under Diary, Journal or Lifestyle.
3] How old is your blog?
I have been blogging since my mother died in 2010, but am not quite sure how long it’s been on WordPress. Seems like forever.
4] Why did you feel the need to start an actual blog?
When my mom died, I was going through a lot of emotions. As time went on, I believed blogging to be better therapy. Thanks to my best friend, Lisa, from Reluctant Creative on WordPress, I was introduced to blogging.
5] What age were you when you first started to write?
The womb? Just kidding. I don’t know when I didn’t write. I love writing and still have tons of short stories from my teenage years as well as a book of poems, I’ve written but never published.
6] Was it a natural process or did something or someone inspire you to put your first thoughts to paper?
Definitely, a natural process.
7] Would you say that your creativity flows easily or do you need to be motivated by an event or moment in your life to trigger it?
I have always had a vivid imagination which has a lot to do with my creativity. Not growing up with all the technology helped to expand my creative mind.
8] How frequent or prolific are you with your writing and blogging?
I blog almost every day, and while I haven’t gotten back to serious writing, I also write every day to my BFF in Virginia, as, we send monthly letters.
9] Is it just WordPress that your writing is displayed or other platforms as well?
I wrote a book which is published on Lulu.com titled ‘The Fly and The Flea‘. Otherwise, only WordPress.
10] Do you use social media to advertise and market your blog? If so, which ones and how effective is it/are they?
No, I have pretty much given up social media sites completely.
11] Writers Block we all get it at one point or another – if you do suffer from it, how do you tackle the problem?
Step away. Focus on something else. The problem will solve itself, in time.
12] Which is your preferred writing /creative style?
I like dialogue. I like feeling as if I am a witness to the story being told verses the main telling and descriptions of characters and scenes.
13] What is the best thing about blogging in your eyes?
People from all walks of life are getting connected. I feel as if I am making new friends who understand me
I do not have to sugarcoat how I feel or what I write on my blog. Blogging allows an immense sense of freedom and reality!
14] What prompts you to write about a topic on a day that you post?
Usually I will recap the day before, in my blog. Being on disability and not having a set schedule, you never know what will transpire or what mess I may have gotten myself into.
15] What advice would you award new bloggers to help and encourage them promote their blog and engage with their audience?
Read other blogs that interest you and comment. Follow blogs that you find interesting and can engage with.
16] Do you have an overall blogging strategy or simply write because you enjoy writing?
I enjoy writing plus, it’s very therapeutic to get my thoughts out in the open.
17] Do you feel it is important to have an engaging audience to the content that you write?
Yes. Although, sometimes I think life is boring, I need that knowledge that there are others feeling the same way or going through some of the same things. I don’t feel so alone.
18] If no one ever commented on your blog would this concern you, and if so how would you rectify the situation?
I write a diary which noone responds to.. because it’s not public… so it would definitely concern me. I guess I would have to revamp what my blog is about and what direction it would go, if there were no comments or.. try another platform. Thankfully, that’s not the case, I love WordPress
19] How long from start to finish would /can your content take you to complete?
That varies. A few minutes to an hour depending on the topic, life events or whatever I am thinking about at the time.
20] Which do you think are your best 3 posts to date?
Please link below so that our readers can see your style and take a step into your world…
I am not good at linking, but I picked two from this year
