Sunshine Blogger Award 14

Introduction

I have opted to write up these awards differently from the usual routine of acceptance therefore l now no longer use the term ‘nomination’ in any sense or variation.

I use the term ‘gifting’.

These awards are not true nominations, they are one stop awards. Now this means, that if you are gifted, you are under no bound obligation to pay it forwards or gift it forwards yourselves and can simply accept them as the gifted compliments to your blog that they are.

You do not have to answer any of the questions unless you so choose to do so, you do not have to further gift out if you do not choose to do so either.

Whilst there are many variations of TSBA doing the rounds – there is always a mixture of the original rules. Whilst l will always answer the questions asked of me whatever the number, l will ONLY ever ask 5 questions maximum of those that l gift to, as l think that is a much fairer number.

My thanks to Beckie of Beckie’s Mental Mess for her kind gift of The Sunshine Blogger Award.

If you are none too familiar with Beckie, then l strongly suggest after reading this, you hop, skip and jump over to her blog for a good mooch down and get ready to read, so grab your popcorn and cookies, coffee, milkshake, wine or whatever your sin may be and prepare to dig in and walk a ways with Beckie on her journey through her story, her life and her thoughts. You’ll not regret it!

Answer the Questions

What was it that made you want to begin a blog?

I had something to say,.

When you are writing, do you listen to music? If yes, what kind of music?

I litsen to an eclectic range of music, it is usually reflective upon what l am writing as to what l listen to. If l am creating from scratch l usually have trance, rave or house pumping out quite loud to get the juices flowing, then as l hit my pathway, l switch to classical or an Arabian mix.

If you were able to come back as any animal, what would that animal be?

A North American Porcupine.

What is your favorite thing about blogging?

Well there is a few things, but as you are only asking for one – it would be the community.

If you were stuck wearing only one color, what color would that be?

A Chameleon Tye Dye Colour that changed shades and hues every time l loved.

If you only had one day left on this planet, what would be your last meal?

Ok, well this is a difficult question Beckie? Now do you mean, l am about to die that day ? Or The next day or unecpectantly? But if l knew l was about to die that day, in true Rory fashion, l probably wouldn’t eat anything and smoke more! It suppresses hunger and the more you smoke the less you eat. but if l wasn’t allowed to smoke and l had to eat, then l would probably binge out on anything as it wouldn’t really matter because l would be dead anyway.

Do you have a favorite author, and why is he/she, your favorite?

No, l don’t have any favourited authors – l tend to see a book and pick it up, and if l like the first page of the book, l will read it.

If you could visit anywhere in the world, where would it be?

How long for? Is my first question. as the answer is pretty impactive upon where l might like to go.

Is there a certain routine you do before you sit down to write?

Usually it’s a coffee, just coffee.

Do you own a pet? If so, what kind?

Yep, l AM owned rather by Scrappy Doodlepip, l am her biatch. she is a K9, Staffy crossed with an Australian sheep dog.

If you were to write for a TV show, what would it be about?

Something to do with erm, urr, aaah, mm, l reckon that would be it “Ermurraahmm!”

sunshine-blogger1

My 5 Questions

If you could do something a bit naughty every day and not get caught, what would you do?

What are the unwritten rules to blogging?

What kind of cult would you like to start?

Is a HotDog a sandwich, a roll or an overheated K9?

What is the most creative, inventive and imaginative insult you can come up with?

  1. Wow! Two award post in a day. Congratulations again. Well done with the post. Love the new format. Great choices for nominations. Why a porcupine?

    1. Hey Darnell, thanks for commenting here today.

I think the awards serve a greater purpose to new bloggers, but l think as you start to become longer in the tooth with blogging and the same awards are doing the rounds as they were when you first started, that the awards lose their appeal.

I have seen by reading yours that you too have opted to change the rulings in so far as how you wish to interpret the way you award out.

The awards don’t use the right terminology l feel, they are not true nomination awards, there is no obligation for any blogger to participate, and they ask way too many questions and some have way too huge an expectation for further selection of other bloggers.

So therefore, whilst the awards are ‘cool’ they are seen as that by new bloggers and not so by the more experienced and veteran bloggers 🙂

      Rory

      1. Wow! Very well put, prompting the reason I changed the rules to what I deemed appealing, without putting pressure on seasoned bloggers. You have award insight as well as I. Thanks for the comment. In the future I intend to use these awards to help boost newbies and have a bit of fun.

  2. LOL! I first responded to you, thinking I was getting nominated again… Swoosh, Thank goodness, it was your response to the award that I nominated you for. They can be sooooo time consuming, as you know. LOL!
I love your round-about answers to the questions I presented to you. The TV show intrigues me! LOL!!! 🤣
