1] Blog Name
Inspiration, faith, life experiences and publishing. and health blog.
3] Blog Age
Three months on WordPress.
3] At what age did you start to write and what was your motivation for doing so?
Previously blogged on Blogger as writingisrewarding for four years and have migrated those posts to WordPress.
4] Does writing/creativity come naturally to you or do you struggle to invent something inspirational each day/week/month?
This is kind of hard for me to answer. I recall I enjoyed writing essay and stories right from primary school days, which went on and made me fell in love with history in high school despite been in science class. However, I did not take any of my writing seriously. In my late teens, I knew I had a story to tell and was waiting for the right time.
In the course of writing my first novel, I had to continually remind myself that my voice needs to be heard.
5] How prolific are you in your craft?
I would say I try. I’m a work in progress [Laughs]. 🙂
6] Are your writings displayed elsewhere or just WordPress? If so where?
I would say WordPress mainly except for my new book Happiness At Last.
7] Do you ever suffer from writers/creators block? How do you combat it?
Yes, sometimes. However, time is what I don’t normally have. I usually write down ideas as they come and revisit them when I’m set to write or when I can’t think of anything to write. The writer’s block kind of creeps in when I look at something I have written and think okay I will pass on this 🙂
Most times, I’m in control of the situation though.
8] What is your preferred creative expressive form?
Mainly writing and a little bit of poetry. In my previous blog, at a time I had both but settled for writing when I began writing my novel. I have a collection of poems for publication in the future.
9] How do you arrive at your decision to write/create/invent about what you have chosen as a subject for the piece/s?
Writing is something I have always wanted to do and knew I was going to do it anyway.
10] Do you need an ambience to work with, such as music, quiet, scented candles, yoga, exercise, reading, film or something else?
I can write any time of the day and place, but I prefer writing in the middle of the night, maybe because of the quietness and mainly due to no distraction. If I am opportune I will like to try writing with music.
11] What helps you to create your content?
At times, conversations but mostly life experiences.
12] Is your content driven by your journey or your story, or by the journeys and stories of others?
My content Is a mixture of both.
13] Are there any specific things which enable your creative juices to flow more steadily? [Overtired/insomnia/mental health/eating/drinking/smoking/surrounded by colour/abstract thoughts and thinking]
This sounds interesting. Sometimes, when I face hard times, I simply post like I would want to reassure myself and it definitely connects with someone.
14] How long from start to finish would/can your content take you to complete?
Because of limited time due to work, study or childcare, a piece of writing that would take 2 hours straight might drag for 30 minutes a day and takes three or more days depending on availability.
15] Are you pleased with your finished pieces? How do you feel when you receive acknowledgement from another?
I feel fulfilled when I have completed a post. I appreciate feedback a lot. What is the point of writing and not knowing what your readers make of it?
For instance, I will like honest views on my new book as that will go a long way to help me in my analysis.
Finally, what advice would you award writers or creators looking to express themselves and to then display their works to the world?
Always believe in yourself. Work hard and do not let anybody tell you otherwise.
