The New Quickie!

Hot off the press …. this burning question!

Who uses Wall Calendars?

Suze and l have one in the kitchen still. I never used to see the benefits of them, thinking they were ‘old fashioned’ and yet equally these days l use it as much as her.

  1. I always have one in my bedroom. Just a glance and you know which dates are the weekend or any coming holidays. Also great for planning an event. I also write on mine and circle dates for remembering. Very useful. I also wear a wrist watch ( it’s actually a Fitbit, but it’s for seeing the time as well as steps) and most people I know use their phones for both the calendar and time! There you have gotten a detailed answer to your question. And also to the one you didn’t ask! πŸ˜ƒπŸ˜Ž

  2. We used to. At home we had a wall calendar in the kitchen that we would write important appointments on. My parents still have one in their home. But once I switched to carrying a diary round in my bag with all my appointments and social events inside, I have abandoned wall calendars.

          1. Mel-ody! πŸ™‚
Melody not Melanie (she lives over in America πŸ™‚ and is also known as Sparks…)
I thought you had got the wrong Mel πŸ™‚

  3. I have one up in the kitchen only because my insurance agent sends one every year. I don’t use it, but it’s nice to have something to look at when I’m taking out the trash.

  4. I have 2 wall calendars. One is in my bedroom to remind me of appointments or events coming up. The other one is in my kitchen that is my son’s school calendar to tell of days off. I have to have them to keep things organized. I am very forgetful since have 3 little miracles, so reminders are necessary.

      1. It is convenient and it saves money, even though there are many “free” calendars sent from non-profits looking for a “guilt” donation (we gave you this calendar, so give us money).

    1. Yes a lot of people do. Itend to mostly just use the Sun Guide – as in it’s a new day – what’s on the books.

Whilst l use the calendar in the kitchen, l oft forget and get told off πŸ™‚

  5. I do. The annoying thing about them is that some who make the calendars, make the font sizes so damned small you need a microscope or binoculars to see the dates on them. And in my case, the calendar is mounted on the wall to the right of my desk and I have to climb OVER the desk to see the frickin’ thing. It’s pretty, but damn. So useless. So I bought a day planner thing and pull that out to see what I want to see. The calendar is for hanging there looking pretty.

    1. Thanks Melanie for the input – totally agree with you! I think the sods that make some of these calendars are also from the smae area of those who think it’s funny to write black writing on brown backgrounds on sauce packets!
