Tell The Story … Something, Somewhere!

Tell The Story –

Tanya of Salted Caramel has tagged me to follow up in this challenge of “Tell the Story’ which was created by The Eclectic Contrarian .

Above is her image for Tell The story.

Who knows, l sure as hell didn’t ….. not then.

But l could hear it, somewhere, it was there, l just didn’t know where, but there all the same … somewhere, a steadiness to it, a rhythmic something, slowly, not a beat, but a something, a stirring from within perhaps, like the sound of water running, but not actually water running.

I lay there in my bed listening to it, it had woken me, not like some noises do, but it had crept into my dream, and was just there.

You know?

I couldn’t put my finger on it, but there was something about it, that told me to not get up, to not investigate to not look for it. It wasn’t water it was definitely something else, something unseen, but not unheard … because l had heard it. It was silent , but not.

You know?

Maybe you don’t know, maybe because you already know, you know what l now know.

There it was again, it was like a presence, it sounded closer this time, heavier. This wouldn’t do, l had to know what it was, what the something was. I sat up in the darkness, straining my ears. If l listened hard enough l could hear it, there, somewhere, somewhere close!

I turned on my bedside lamp, and looked around my room. Nothing, but and yet it was here, somewhere, somewhere close. The room felt damp, it was then that l looked up!

Then l knew!

I am going to challenge the following …

Teresa of The Haunted Wordsmith

Paula of Light Motifs II

Kristian – Tales of the mind of Kristian
