Personal Choice
The 70’s as a genre were not something l was that big into until much later in the ten year span. I grew up with mostly my Father’s choice of music playing and equally in the early 70’s l was in Australia and not really do much listening to any music if l could help it. By the mid 70’s l was listening mostly to classical, but by the later 70’s and back in the UK, l was slowly coming to terms with this strange thing called pop music. I wasn’t a complete numbskull to the scene, but l arrived back in England in 1977 and kids around me were talking about this and that, and l was vaguely aware, but preferred reading and table top wargaming. However, that’s just me, let’s look at the ten years of 1970 – 1979 shall we?
If you have any personal choices you might like to see added in, then please feel to drop me a comment with the artist, date and title of song.

Part 2 Tomorrow 1971
I’m exploring 70s music today for the 30 day song challenge! Just learned about a few of the names you’ve mentioned here! Saw some other people posted videos too! 🙂
Hey Sa, the 70’s were my least liked of the genres admittedly, l liked a few from the whole ten years, but preferred more from the 60’s, 80’s mostly 🙂
This takes me back to when I was a kid. My family members listened to all this and I did as well when I was a teenager for some of these bands. Cool post, thanks for taking me down memory lane.
No problem at all, if you would like to suggest any titles of songs you liked through from 71 – 79 please fell free to add 🙂

Okay Li, will do. strange when l was going through the songs for 1970 this afternoon, the 1971 song by Harrison you have chosen was was in fact listed for 70, so l am guessing it was released in 71 Stateside?
I don’t know. Maybe it started on the charts in 70 and was still on it in 71? I was on a different site for the first couple on my 71 requests but then I saw that what I was looking at was only January 71.
