The Top 75 Christmas Films Would Be?
[In your opinion]
Tell me below what you consider to be your top 5, 10 or most enjoyed Christmas films, and we will prepare the Top 75 list for Christmas week.
So don’t be shy, don’t just suggest one or two films if you like ten, suggest them all.
Here’s some l like ….
- It’s a Wonderful Life
- Miracle on 34th Street
- A Christmas Carol
- National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation
- Scrooged
- The Santa Clause
- The Nightmare Before Christmas
- How The Grinch Stole Christmas
Now those are mine, but what are yours?
The 1951 version of Scrooge starring Alastair Sim, all others are a pale inferior copy.
I also like to watch the BBC adaptation of The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe and The Blackadder’s Christmas Carol.
That’s it really, I can’t think of any other Christmas specific film I watch.
Alastair Sim has to be the best Scrooge ever!
He was 🙂 I also liked his housekeeper played by Kathleen Harrison “Merry Christmas Mr. Scrooge, in keeping with the situation” 🙂
It’s the side characters that bring the story to life and she is often missing in the Christmas Carol versions.
You’re right. That film has a lot of side characters that make it more interesting than other versions.
I will add them to the list tomorrow K, l always preferred the Bill Murray Scrooged as l never liked Alastair Sim 🙂
Haha, I feel the same way about Bill Murray 🙂
Love Actually, Muppet Christmas Carol, Home Alone, Die Hard (being subversive again!)
Okay doky, will also add these to new list later on today 🙂
I wrote my list earlier…thinking of Christmas music led to movies at warp speed lol
Home alone 😊
Hey Popsicle – l’ll be sure to add that in 🙂
A Christmas Story. There is another one that I watched as a preteen-teenager. About kids going back in the past and it is an amazing story. I seriously can not remember the title but I know that for years I watched it.
Hey Jay-lyn – thanks for the addition, l will check up on the one you have mentioned 🙂
The one from childhood….the kids travel back in time and they help kids escape from fire
It is Mr….something
It is called The Amazing Mr.Blunden
Noted 🙂
Die Hard is arguably the best Christmas film ever and if anyone tells you differently they are very much mistaken. Really Janey? Why? Okay you asked for it …
1. Its the epitome of Christmas movie. Estranged family. Hubby sacrificing his family for work, blah, blah, blah.
2. His wife’s name is Holly!
3. Quotes. “Now I have a machine gun, ho, ho, ho.”
4. Christmas music (I admit it’s elevator music but whatev’s) and last but never least …
5. Alan Rickman.
Mic drop!
Noted Jane 🙂
