Answer the Questions
What are you currently reading right now and are you enjoying it?
I am currently reading two books – they are my toilet reading – yeah l know, you didn’t need to know that Jane, but l am telling you anyhow – l tend to not have any time to read of late in bed, so l do most of my book reading in the loo when l am not reading legal documents!
They are: “Me Life Story” by Scarlett Moffatt and “The World According to Bob” by James Bowen and yes l am enjoying them. The “Me Life Story” l didn’t think l would enjoy it, but l do, and the “Bob”, l have only just started and l am enjoying that also.
On average about how many books do you read a year?
On average and reflective with what is going on in life., l tend to vary the range of between 40 – 70 books a year. This year has been slower due to all sorts of events, and these two books are numbers 32 and 33.
When was the last time you sent a handwritten letter in the mail?
At a guess, perhaps 35 years ago, maybe more.
Do you know how to write and read in cursive?
Yes to reading in cursive, no to writing cursive, which isn’t entirely true, although it is. I have appalling handwriting and have had that since l was at school. When l was diagnosed with Asperger’s in 2008, they said that my bad handwriting was down to a lack of coordination from my brain to my eyes to my hands. So l am more of a block or print writer. i was extremely happy when l was first able to write using something other than my own hands such as the typewriter and then of course to keyboards.
How do you feel about schools having stopped teaching cursive?
I wasn’t aware that they had stopped it. But l am of mixed feelings, l also have mild dyslexia so cursive on that level is a bit pointless for me anyway. I think that can be troublesome for those who have eye to hand coordination.
Halloween is my favorite holiday, what is yours?
In truth l don’t tend to have any favourite holidays. I tend to not get over -excited with them unless l am actively involved – as an example, l have just finished the Halloween challenge, and l get more fun when l am making it fun for another. So quick answer – none.
Do you have any fun Halloween traditions?
Erm, nope afraid not, unless we include the challenge l have just done and the one l am planning for next year 🙂
Tell me one random fact about you that others may find odd.
Mm, good question, what does one define as odd in respect to the question? Some have found my incredible naivety to be odd considering the way l write and talk about my life.
Have you ever given advice to someone else that you did not follow yourself?
I think in many respects at times in our lives we are all guilty of that, but is it a guilt, or a learned knowledge that we simply haven’t yet found ourselves in a position to award it to ourselves? At times advice can be speculative until it is reflective to us.
What is your favorite activity in the fall season?
I don’t think l have any favourite activities yet.
What kind of music do you enjoy listening to the most?
I have a pretty eclectic mix of music so it is reflective upon my mood of the day – but it can range from house to classic and from punk to trance.
Answer the Questions
Do you believe in true love?
Yes l do, however that comes with a caveat – l am of the opinion now at my age, when l have known love with women from my early twenties to where l am now in my mid fifties and that the depth of love you can feel for someone can be different to another person with reflection of your age. When you are young your variation of loving someone will be different to your thirties, forties and fifties. For me personally, l have found true love twice in my life, once from my early twenties and the relationship l am currently in. Whilst l loved my wife, it was just that l loved her, but it wasn’t perhaps a soul binding love which allows for a true love. If that makes for sense.
Summer or Winter?
Both, l have a natural passion for being warm, but l hate being cold, l personally would choose ‘autumn’ as my go to season, rather than winter.
If you could travel anywhere in the world where would it be?
At this present time, l would love to see India as a first, and l would love to revisit Australia, but also New Zealand.
Have you ever sat in your car and cried for no reason other than being sad?
Science Fiction or Fantasy?
If you could be any fantasy character what type would you be?
If you discovered the secret to slowing down the aging process would you use it?
Well in some respects whilst not an elixir or a fountain of youth, there are things that we can do now to slow down the ageing process – we can eat a healthy diet, we can exercise, we can not drink , or smoke or take risks with our life. BUT, the question would be ‘How boring would your life become, if you did nothing with it?”
Walking through the forest you come upon a large tree with a door in it, do you open the door?
Duh, of course, l mean you are talking the Magic Faraway Tree …like Hello!
If you opened the door in the above question what did you find?
Well if l was really lucky – Moonface, but if l wasn’t l would probably drop into the pits of something really nasty.
If you did not open the door in question 8 why not?
But l did, because l am naturally curious.
Favorite all time Halloween costume.
Sexy Vampress … oh sorry do you mean me? Ok, sod it l’ll go as a sexy vampress!
Ok, l am going to do this slightly differently – l am going to nominate some of my favourite bloggers for this award but give them the Nominee Exemption Card as l know them to be busy or on Nomination Sabbaticals, or they have just answered questions to these awards. This allows them however to answer the questions l pose should they wish, but they do not have to nominate others unless they wish to. I have nominated higher than the 11 quota, and l would nominate more, but l would be here all day!
Most of you know by now with me, that l will get to you and let you know l have nominated you, although the pingback from this post will get to you first, so please forgive my delay. If you choose to not respond – that is also fine, as you know – but l love your blogs and that is why your name is below.
