Now l know that l have at a quick mental count at least a dozen Halloween homemakers who adore making candies, cakes, pies and generally love cooking up specialities, so this challenge shouldn’t fall onto blind eyes.

Some of these challenges will be tame, others more mysterious and some even deadly!

Today l would like you to tell us all what your favourite Halloween cakes or treats are and provide us with one of your  most favourite recipe is with instructions on how you make them special for you.

  1. I will have to pass on this one, since we don’t have one. My teeth are preventing me from eating much, and my son hates food in general. We’ve never been a cake family. I am looking forward to reading the responses though 🙂

  2. I make creatures. Melted chocolate chips poured over crunchy chow mein noodles. Form into small blobs on wax paper on cookie sheets. Put two mini M&M eyeballs on each. Chill. Use whichever kind of chocolate you like, or mix white & dark for swirly creatures.

  3. Hi Rory, on “Blue Peter” one year for Halloween when I was a child they made “spooky green hands” – they poured green jelly into washing-up gloves and let it set. I thought this was pretty awesome and was super-excited to attempt it myself (despite the fact that I didn’t really like jelly). Needless to say, my effort looked nothing like “the one they’d made earlier”. I was gutted. Maybe time to have another go?
