M.M.H.B – Film List – 2
Over the course of the Horror Voting week, 181 films were listed and whilst 100 were voted in with 2+ votes or more a handful didn’t quite make the grade as they only received 1 vote each, this week we shall have a look at some of these horrible horrors!
Sleepaway Camp 1983
Bunks and the showers are a mad stabber’s beat at a summer camp strictly for teens.
Dead and Deader 2006
A soldier is bitten by a diseased bug turning him into a half-zombie, but his comrades aren’t so lucky and become full-blown shuffling undead.
The Gingerdead Man 2005
A witch cooks up trouble when she revives her dead serial killer son as a giant psychopathic gingerbread man intent on killing the girl who had him executed.
Wheelsy is a small town where not much happens and everyone minds his own business. No one notices when evil slips in quietly but, when people find mutilated livestock and a woman goes missing, Sheriff Bill Pardy (Nathan Fillion) discovers an alien organism that threatens to devour all life on Earth.
Rawhead Rex 1986
A U.S. historian (David Dukes) takes his wife (Kelly Piper) and son to an Irish town where the oozing devil incarnate dwells.
Killer Clowns from Outer Space 1988
When teenagers Mike (Grant Cramer) and Debbie (Suzanne Snyder) see a comet crash outside their sleepy small town, they investigate and discover a pack of murderous aliens who look very much like circus clowns. They try to warn the local authorities, but everyone assumes their story is a prank. Meanwhile, the clowns set about harvesting and eating as many people as they can. It’s not until they kidnap Debbie that Mike decides it’s up to him to stop the clowns’ bloody rampage.
When strange fuzzy creatures from outer space arrive on a farm, the Brown family — Jay (Billy Green Bush), Helen (Dee Wallace-Stone), their daughter, April (Nadine Van Der Velde), and their son, Brad (Scott Grimes) — must fend off the malevolent little aliens. Two bounty hunters with superhuman abilities follow the aggressive beasts from beyond, but the warriors aren’t terribly effective, leaving the Brown family to battle the fur balls and rescue April from their clutches all by themselves.
Troll 2: 1990
When young Joshua (Michael Stephenson) learns that he will be going on vacation with his family to a small town called Nilbog, he protests adamantly. He is warned by the spirit of his deceased grandfather that goblins populate the town. His parents, Michael (George Hardy) and Diana (Margo Prey), dismiss his apprehensions, but soon learn to appreciate their son’s warnings. Guided by his grandfather’s ghost, will Joshua and his family stand a chance in fighting off these evil beings?
So how many of these have you seen? Of the 8 which one’s do you rate? I have seen Slither, Troll 2 [Nilbog aka Goblin spelled backward], Critters and Sleepaway Camp and my verdict? All utterly diabolical! But how about you?
