  1. I cut it down as much as I could – this list was fabulous
    Sweeney Todd
    Ghost Ship
    The Hitcher
    The Haunting Of Hill House
    The Midwich Cuckoos
    The Amityville Horror
    13 Ghosts
    Children of the Corn

      1. Well, I think I would appreciate the originals more if I was of the older generation. (I am a millennial) Don’t get me wrong, I love classics. But I tend to find classics of other genres more interesting. The only classic horror that I liked was Psycho.

        1. I get you, l like to see remakes as well. There are so many films l would love to see remakes of just for the special effects and what they can do now πŸ™‚

          1. Yes. It just really depends for me, to be honest. Let’s take Halloween, for instance. I loved the original and though I plan on seeing the newest remake. This remake doesn’t look quite as good. I nevertheless I will be watching it just to see how things go. I guess when it comes to remakes, I watch them either way, just so I have the ability to say “Yes, I liked it, or no, I didn’t.”

            1. I know what you mean, as an example l loved both The original Italian Job [1969] with Caine as it is a classic, and whilst the remake in 2003 was a great film, it wasn’t remotely like the classic. Another brilliant film was Assault on Precinct 13 1976 a real gritty film, and the remake 2005 was again a good film, but no where near the 76 version, but both remakes were brilliant but just not the classics.

  2. So many from my list that I copied YOURS and deleted those I hadn’t seen or wouldn’t vote for. I put stars next to the best ones (IMHO)
