  1. I’ve waxed prolific already about my picks. You could include (I’ve seen others suggest them): Amityville Horror, The Others (that one is really creepy IMHO), The Sixth Sense (psychological and ESP genre horror), and The Haunting of Hill House. I’ll add to my own list for suggestions: The Shining (the original with Jack Nicholsen), any of the Pumpkinhead series (brrr), Nosferatu (any of them); and not movies but creepy horror: True Blood, American Gothic, Tales From the Crypt…oh my. I’m glad you’re making the decision, not me. What a choice!! 🙂

  2. I don’t do horror films because I am too easily scared. I am struggling to even write horror stories at the moment without getting nightmares 🙂

I saw a film about a house that used to take people, something about murdered children taking revenge, If I knew the name of it I’d nominate that one. 🙂

  4. Saw this in the reader for “horror”. A top 100 list would have to include classics like Psycho, Night of the Living Dead, Rosemary’s Baby, The Exorcist, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Jaws, and Dawn of the Dead… Some favorites of mine that might not get mentioned otherwise: Phantasm, Zombie aka Zombi 2, Happy Birthday to Me, Basket Case 1 & 2, Sleepaway Camp, House (the movie from 1986), and Puppet Master. I’m interested to see the full list.

    1. Wooh, some real classics in here, splendid list 🙂

Basket Case absolutely – there’s an oldie l remember seeing at the big screen, phantasm and the spinning head drilling holes and the strange creatures another big screen viewing there, the original Jaws yes l agree, and the others are also brilliant contenders – many thanks 🙂
