How it Began:

A Guy Called Bloke and K9 Doodlepip as a blog came about as the result of running three blogs and deciding to amalgamate all together to form one solid brand and to also have everything in one place as far as time and efficiency go with regards writing, but also to centralise all traffic under one roof.

Writing has been the one constant in my life, from the time l was first able to put words together in a way that made sense to my eyes and my mind, and it serves me as a way of further promoting my gift of story telling.

This blog came about because of a few main things that my life needs:

1] I am not great at verbalising directly to people and much better at writing about my life.

2] I like community and sociality but at my own pace and l have found that l actually love the WP blogging community in comparison to other much faster and overwhelming social platforms.

3] I don’t just love writing, but l love words.

4] Because l have something to say and felt that others might be entertained by my stories.

5] Blogging allows me to actively exercise my quirky humour.

Advice to Bloggers:

Simple … do what you love, do it for you always first and keep doing it.

My Blogger Nominations Are:

The biggest problem with nominations and awards like this are they eat into a person’s time, and if time is precious the very nature that these nominations can take out of your day can make them irksome. This is not meant to be read as derrogatory, l love being nominated, but l do appreciate another’s time might not be as free as my own. So if l nominate you and you don’t wish to nominate others – you know me, that’s fine, if you wish to respond with simply the barest answers such as why you came about or even simply the advice you offer other bloggers – again this is fine. I will reblog your responses unless you wish for me not to. This award requests 15 bloggers, and l shall only be nominating 10.

    1. I think the thing about advice is that it’s all so personal and reflective, some like lots of advice, others purely prefer simple, but at the end of the day irrespective of what advice is offered, it’s always the same, go with your heart πŸ™‚

  1. I am always honored to be nominated! Thank you Rory!! I’m on it as soon as I’m back in the states. On a β€œFinding French Family Vaca” (ie gathering more material for my blog…and breaking more toilets πŸ™„)

  2. Reading your “How It Began”: You sound so much like me! (Or maybe all bloggers sound the same?)
And it sounds like you’ve taken much the same path, tried putting out multiple blog posts and grew weary, so finally amalgamated. Blogging is one area where it can truly be said, “The less the better.” πŸ˜‰
