Top of the Morning to you folks!

We are still with John Hughes but this time in the 90’s! What was he famous for during this era?

It’s that day, you know the one, TFIF!!

So far this week we have seen

Home Alone – 1990

Curly Sue – 1991

Beethoven – 1992

Beethoven’s 2nd – 1993

Miracle on 34th Street – 1994

Do you remember ….. ?

101 Dalmations 1996

And you can have these without this!

Pongo: Everybody here? All fifteen?

Patch: Twice that many, Dad. Now there’s 99 of us!

Cadpig: Old Thunderbolt’s the greatest dog in the whole world.

Patch: He’s even better than Dad.

Penny: No dog’s better than Dad.

Pongo: Perdy?

Perdita: That witch. That devil woman. She wants our puppies. That’s all she’s after.

Pongo: Don’t worry, Perdy. They’re on to her. Nothing’s going to happen to our puppies.

Perdita: But what does she want with them? She can’t possibly love them. Oh, Pongo. I was so happy at first, but now I – oh, I-I wish we weren’t having any!

1996? What were you doing? I was 33.

More John Hughes from the 90’s tomorrow folks, have a great Friday!

  1. In 1996 I finished College and was disappointed to get B, C, D and an N for my A-levels in Geology, General Studies, History and lastly Physics. My first choice of University, Edinburgh, rejected me but thankfully my second choice, Aberystwyth, accepted me with open arms and I will forever be grateful and have a huge soft spot for Wales in general, the town of Aberystwyth and the University in particular. So in September 1996 I started life as a Uni student studying for a Bsc in Geology. 🙂

      1. Well they are not good l admit Stubby, but you have family, kids and wife who love you and a wife who wants you to succeed with your writing – big brownie points my friend.

Life always goes on, we have to knuckle down in which every way we can and make it work for us. That’s not saying it’s easy though.
